Golden Tulip Hotel de’ Medici

Breakfast felt rather canteen like.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the service at this hotel.

I actually used the parking for only two days, which should have cost €60, but I was charged €90. When we arrived, we were simply told to drive around the building and park behind the hotel. We found a private parking area there with the hotel’s name displayed on the wall, so we naturally assumed it was the correct place. We later discovered that it belonged to someone else.

No member of staff came with us to show us the correct entrance, nor did anyone explain that the hotel parking was located underground. The hotel had registered our licence plate and the area was monitored by cameras, yet nobody warned us that our car was parked in the wrong place and could have been fined. When I asked about it the next day, I was told that it was my problem. Regarding the extra €30 charge, they said they would speak to management, but I never received a final answer—neither an approval, a refusal, nor any explanation.

There was not even shampoo in the room. On the first day, the towels were changed and the room was cleaned, but during the following two days the room was not serviced at all, and even the toilet paper was not replenished.

One receptionist seemed completely confused, while another was rude and sarcastic. This is not an acceptable way to treat hotel guests.

To be fair, the location is not ideal, but it is not bad either. However, the hotel itself is very dated. The interior feels like it has not been renovated since the 1990s, and several areas and facilities appear worn out. The lift also makes worrying noises and vibrates noticeably when starting and stopping.

I would not stay at this hotel again, nor would I recommend it to others. The age of the building was not the main issue—the greatest disappointment was the staff’s indifference, the poor service, and the complete lack of a proper response regarding the unjustified additional parking charge.

Vi spurgte efter nye hovedpuder 4 gange før der skete noget.
Værelserne som var renoveret fremstod med mange fejl.
Der var ikke håndklæder til alle.
Spaen var ikke eksisterende.
Der var så meget vand på altanen at vi ikke kun bruge den, og selv efter flere forespørgsler blev der ikke gjort noget.
Der var en konstant larm (mindet om centrifugering på vaskemaskine) på det værelse som de påstod var en suite, men som ikke var i nærheden af de billeder de havde lagt op.
Der var ikke badekar som angivet.

Der Teppichboden in den Fluren könnte getauscht werden.

In principe niks, ja zag alleen wel het verschil in de rest van het hotel. Deze was wat meer gedateerd.

Kleine benauwde lift

Les clients de la chambre voisine et les clients dans le couloir qui sont très bruyant avec des rires très tard et très tôt.
Notre sommeil a beaucoup été perturbé. C’est dommage mais cela ne concerne pas directement l’hôtel.
Pourquoi pas instaurer des panneaux de silence.
