Steam room out of action, unhelpful with booking issue.
Location near to where I needed. Room was spacious. Drinks machine in the lobby.
The £12.00 charge for parking. The steam room being out of action- I would have stayed elsewhere as steam and sauna is a must after a swim. Booking.com double charged me and it would have been just as simple for the hotel to cancel a room once I realised it had happened, but hotels customer service explained 'it's a Booking.com problem' and not 'us' issue. This had to be reexplained on checking in which of course is a sore point when you have just been double charged for a trip which was last minute for a family emergency. The evidence needed to claim back the money is a right palaver.

The room was large, comfortable, and dog friendly. When we arrived there was even a dog bed, bowl and some treats waiting, which was a really lovely touch, and staff were very friendly to him. They don't allow dogs in the bar, but the room is so large we didn't mind and I don't think he did either! There are parks a short drive away to give him a good run around too. I couldn't think of anything else the room could need - the bed was comfortable and clean, there was a comfortable sofa, and it was quiet even when other guests were leaving. It had a fridge, and even a microwave, USB charging sockets right by the bed for phones and the air con was a godsend in this weather.
The gym is very small and very basic, but we managed to get half an hour in. The food was good in the evening, but I don't think I would stay for breakfast again, they charge a lot for what is a buffet.

Extortionate taxi fares to get to the hotel, £10 a mile (minus the Gatwick charge that's still £20 for a little over 3 miles which gives London prices a run for their money, the £50 in taxis would've allowed for a more expensive hotel at the airport.
Great location for our stay.
Surprised that there was no bottled water in the rooms during a heatwave and the air con although great, was noisy. Staff were helpful and very pleasant. Liquid soap in the bathrooms for handwashing would have been better than soap.
