Great stay for over a week, staff have been fantastic, hotel very clean and tidy. Would recommend
The hotel is comfortable and clean. Large car park as well. Great for events in the area.
It’s really tired. Definitely needs some money spent on it to bring it up to standard.
Good breakfast
Another great stay at the mercure norwich. Great to see Kayleigh back at the front desk helping out and giving a fantastic service.
Looking forward to my next stay.
I stay here regularly with work and can honestly say that it's the staff that make the stay enjoyable.
From reception, catering and house keeping, everyone can't do enough for you, nothings ever to much trouble.
I had the pleasure of staying at Norwich mecure in May 2026, my experience was good . From the moment I walked in, I was greeted from Catherine which set a positive tone.
The room I stayed in was clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day.
I also enjoyed breakfast at the hotel's restaurant, where the variety of options was impressive and the quality exceeded my expectations.
The hotel's location is another significant advantage. Close to the airport and walking distance into the city.
Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay at Norwich Mecure. recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel near the airport.
Just had a wonderful stay at the Mercure Hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable with great amenities. The whole hotel was very welcoming.
Special thanks to Kayleigh at reception, she was great and very helpful throughout my stay!
Highly recommend, hotel is inna great location and not too far from the city centre.
Evening meal was good. I stayed for 1 night due to work and really enjoyed myself.
Hotel staff Abbie, Robin, Kat, Emma, Kayleigh, Trisha and Megan are welcoming and helpful
I had planned a very late arrival due to going straight onto a night shift, and the hotel was extremely accommodating, even in the early hours of the morning.
A really nice and unexpected touch was being upgraded, which made a big difference and helped me properly reset before work. The room was comfortable, quiet, and ideal for getting some rest despite the unusual hours.
Excellent service and thoughtful staff – I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again, especially if travelling on an awkward schedule.
The 150 'Sons of the Desert' - Laurel and Hardy fans from UK, Europe and USA, held a Convention at the Hotel Mercure, Norwich in early May. The event was planned over the precious 18 months. Our aim is to always have fun and enjoy the 3 day weekend. All of the staff ensured that our aim (and beyond) was achieved with their politeness and friendliness. I have attended over 20 L&H Convention and this one was the tops.
FOOD - This was outstanding. we were given a choice of three starters, three main and three sweets. The food was absolutely delicious
With all our activities in the hotel, the staff were generous in their time in helping to move things and arrange tables, chairs and equipment. This was much appreciated.
The rooms were most comfortable and spacious.
I would like to thanks everyone who helped make this an unforgettable weekend.

I (German) stayed in the hotel on a private convention for three nights with breakfast and evening meals.
We had a superb stay and weekend. Especially the food was excellent and the service was very professional. I need gluten free support which was served with care.
The hotel is easily accessible by car (in my case by Dover ferry terminals, free parking available) and nearby Norwich airport (for other Germans, via KLM - Amsterdam, walking distance with minimum luggage). Access to Norwich from hotel is possible by bus (lines 28 and 29), taxi (about 10 GBP) or a very nice walk mostly along the picturesque river Wensum (45-60 min depending on your speed).
Norwich is worth a visit, the Cathedral (so much details to see!), the Castle, Pubs and other things in the town and outside Norwich visiting the Broads (river tour recommended!) and Dad's Army museum in Thedford.
Some people blame the hotel not to be "in top conditions", but for our opinion everything was OK for this type of standard and the stuff is as I said professional, very friendly and helpful.
Location on a trading estate but really quiet and perfectually situated for days out .room clean and large room 49 out the back. And very large bed very comfortable .
Stayed overnight with my wife whilst looking at properties around Norfolk. Large spacious room with large comfy bed. Abbey on reception was very knowledgeable on areas we were exploring properties with a view to moving to the area. Great evening meal with lots of choice. Excellent breakfast. Plenty of parking free.
I was among a large group of Laurel and Hardy enthusiasts attending what was the 2nd weekend Convention to be held at this venue. The first was about 6 - 8 years ago. I feel compelled to write a review to highlight the wonderful weekend event. From the word go at reception on 30th April, I was greeted by a friendly and most helpful receptionist named Erin. My room was modern and well equipped. The serving staff at all meals were very cheerful and such hard workers, they never seemed to stop. There were many staff involved but if I can single out a few of them, Evie, Angie and Emma. The whole weekend was delightful, the staff deserve the highest praise. In my business life and my social life I have travelled to many countries, staying at many hotels, this was my most pleasant stay, the staff made everything go so well, they were excellent. Written by Eric Woods, I stayed in room 30.
The hotel was set in lovely grounds. The reception area was welcoming, clean and staff were friendly.
Dated furniture in the room, lamps above the bed too low if wanting to sit up and read or watch television.
