Spacious room!
The view looking over the garbage cans was less desirable.
Two night stay in a renovated room that was clean and decent overall. The door to the bedroom didn’t properly close, and there was no housekeeping service during the stay. Towels and washcloths were replaced when requested via pickup at the front desk. Hotel photos represent renovated rooms, and the property is still under construction.
Cancellation policy, still charged me for both nights
Cancellation policy, still charged me for both nights
no breakfast on Sunday morning and lame excuses from staff about it
breakfast was not offered and there was nothing I liked from this hotel
it was very worn down, two different rooms and same issues... worn out sofa with many stains and worn. Furniture was missing laminate on both desks.
elevators were small and also not what you'd expect from a Hilton. paint stains, rips in the floor. Door to room was scratched up as if a crow bar was used to open the door.
Hotel need LOTS of work!
Stayed there on a family visit to the area. As I walked into the "motel" lobby I knew I should have stayed somewhere else. One of the housekeepers was at the desk but, eventually an actual front desk clerk came.
The lobby was also full of rolls of carpeting and other materials for a "makeover", which this place definitely needs. The elevators had splatters of paint on the floor and walls so.... not a good first impression!
The room was just "okay" as the chest of drawers doors wouldn't stay shut and when I tried to make a cup of coffee all of the outlets in the kitchen area were "dead" and didn't reset even after checking the circuit breakers. And, both remotes for the TVs were dead as no one had checked to see if they needed batteries.... they did.... and I had to call the front desk to replace them.
So, as a Hilton Honors member I will definitely cross this property off my list and stay elsewhere when I'm in the area.
Close to freeway and downtown. Location
Pool was closed. Our room had leak from ac and floor was wet.
The bed was comfy! The employees were nice.
The pool was not working, I would like to have been notified before we arrived so we could have made other arrangements. We had our 5 grandkids who were all excited to swim, so they were disappointed. The air conditioning was not working in my son’s room, they were given another room, but they had to repack everything. Which was a lot due to 5 kids. So that was a let down. The cart we got for our luggage was broken, that was a struggle getting it up and down in the elevator, there were none left to exchange. It was very hot in the hallway.
The rooms were very nice.
Our bathroom sink had issues draining.
This hotel was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. The entire place was undergoing nasty renovations, leaving it in complete disarray. The room itself was a disaster, completely unfurnished, with mold creeping through the showers and vents. The doors were broken, and the carpets were riddled with disgusting stains. Even the bedding was stained, adding to the overall filth. Cockroaches were crawling on the walls, and their wings were disturbingly stuck in the vents. The walls had holes, the faucets were leaking, and the microwave still had leftover food inside. The countertop was smeared with stuck-on cheese, and the refrigerator had a broken handle. Every corner of this hotel screamed neglect and filth, making it an unbearable place to stay.
To make matters worse, my family had to scramble to find another place to stay that night. Despite purchasing two nights, I still haven’t been refunded for the stay. The hotel had no manager on-site throughout the weekend, and the general manager only works a 9-to-5 schedule, leaving no one to address the situation. Finding another hotel to accommodate my family was a struggle, and the alternative wasn’t much better. As a Hilton Honors member and Hilton Grand Vacations owner, I’ve never been treated this poorly. The entire experience was beyond disappointing and completely unacceptable.
Do not stay here! This hotel has hot water issues. On my first day, I checked in and saw a sign saying water would be intermittent due to renovations. There was no hot water on my first day, so I talked to the front desk on day 2 and checked multiple times throughout the day to take a shower. They told me to go back to my room and check again because the manager had just checked a nearby room. I checked and still had no hot water. I also noticed water leak repairs near the shower, so I assumed it was related. To make matters worse, when I picked up the phone to call the front desk about the issue, bugs crawled out. I checked out and booked a room across the street at the Home2 Suites. When I called the Homewood property to check out and explain why (and the bugs), the manager only said, “So we are checking you out then?” and made no mention of the water issues beyond saying it was “repairs” (the sign has been there since August, and now it’s November). She also didn’t acknowledge the bugs. The hotel is dated, which is fine, but they should at least make an effort.
Renovation is a ‘home run’! The service providers here are excellent. Edgar, front desk person, was on point upon arrival. He saw that one of their unrenovated suites was assigned to us, but quickly made the change to a newly reno’d. This saved us - the room was scary & not in a fun, Halloween way. Dirty upholstery & peeled, severely chipped nightstands, lamps & coffee tables.
The new suite was clean, modern-design aesthetic & seemed to have everyth we needed, when we needed it. Even plenty of salt & pepper for our takeout (ever have a room with 1 packets of salt & pepper each - translating to 7 grains of pepper). Breakfasts were delicious every day too. The staff worked diligently cleaning behind guests dining, truly focused on the guest outcomes. Preparing food & tools as needed, politely & planned. Even housekeeping was on board with ensuring our room had hangers, towels, etc. Service with a smile here! It seems everyone absolutely deserves & appreciates the renovation dollars Hilton awarded.
We stayed 1 week for work & our reservation was saved by this reno. Be patient, perhaps the lobby will be soon (upholstery on armed furniture is very dirty & ‘off putting’ to enjoying any lobby food/drink as it doesn’t communicate ‘fresh & clean’.
Bonus: basketball half court! Yay! Workout room clean, well appointed w/water machine, clean towels, had excellent equipment & space for a self-satisfying workout. Pool needs a heater. While temp outside in the 80s, pool was way too cold to be considered anyth but a cold plunge, & it was fairly small tho attractive. I know this modification will be expensive, but hopefully Hilton decides this location is fully-funded soon to receive this much-needed pool upgrade.
