Great location for the Mall. Pool. Breakfast.

My family and I stayed at the Homewood Suites on July 27th. It was the first leg of our US roadtrip and it was a great start to our holiday. The property has a great location if you want to visit the Mall of America (right across the street), clean comfortable rooms and a terrific breakfast (they even had Chia pudding).

However, what made the stay above par and worthy of reviewing was Prentice who was working the front desk. What a gem of a person, friendly, helpful and took extra time to really make my son's experience a great one. It's rarer and rarer to have employees go above and beyond when tips aren't involved. But Prentice did just that and he is a standout employee, I hope he get's the recognition (and compensation) he deserves.

I like everything about the property!! Ms. Rhoda was extremely welcoming to me and my daughter. She provided shuttle for us from the airport to the hotel. I wasn’t aware of it and she made sure we were about to utilize that service.

Rhoda at the front desk was very helpful and professional throughout my monthlong stay.

We stayed on top floor at Homewood suites MOA in a king suite.

In the morning, I noticed the microwave didn’t work. I believe the room had a breaker tripped that didn’t allow use of microwave, or dishwasher.
Fridge was full sized and worked.
Range had power but we did not use.
Bathroom door did not close.

We checked in and there were zero room keys. My wife eventually got my app key to work, after maintenance tech let us in to room. The kids needed a key to get in to pool, which was complicating the situation.

They did give me a discount on the ice cream we bought, to the troubles.

King suite was great otherwise.

I give it a 3 stars review, because of the key and breaker tripped issue, doesn’t live up to Homewood suites standards.

We stay here every year! We love the excellent service and friendliness of the staff! Prentice in the breakfast area is so wonderful! He loves his job and excels at providing a great customer experience!!
Housekeeping and Front Desk staff are also wonderful! We always feel so welcomed when we stay here!

I stayed two nights at the Homewood Suites by Hilton at the Minneapolis Mall of America, and I have to give a huge shoutout to Prentice. Every morning at breakfast with my three kids, I watched him treat every guest with such genuine kindness and care. He has this warm, positive energy that instantly makes the space feel better.

Prentice went out of his way to help children (e.g. with getting cereal) and moved with a sense of urgency that showed he truly cares about his job. His demeanor was fantastic, and it honestly touched me enough that I spoke directly with the General Manager, Hillary Figura, to make sure his service was recognized. Prentice is a standout — the kind of employee who makes your stay feel special and is certainly someone I recommend Homewood Suites develops for future career growth.

I had exceptional service from Rhonda on the front desk, both on check in and checking out, however it was with issues that shouldn’t have needed attention.
Watch your bill for extra charges.
The room was fine although the thermostat for the room was in an unusual and challenging place to adjust and i wanted to change the temperature.
Convenient location

The front desk staff who welcomed me upon my arrival was very friendly and professional. The employees working the following morning were also kind, helpful, and attentive. I truly appreciated their excellent customer service, which was the best part of my stay.
