Nice stay with friendly and attentive staff.
Everything was clean. Many areas appeared to be dated (not updated). Staff was friendly. We were disappointed to learn when we arrived that the king bed we reserved was not available and we were provided with a room with two double beds (smaller than queen size).
Great stay. Quiet
This is hands down the most disgusting Hilton I’ve ever stayed in. This place hasn’t been updated in decades. The carpets are so gross. Every door is full of dents, the water doesn’t get hot only really warm. The bath tubs are so old and gross. I rented an apartment and I don’t even want to cook in it. Such a waste of money. The pictures are nothing like reality. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! If you are having a procedure done at Duke and need to be here for a little while, get an Air BnB. This place is a dump and a breeding ground for bacteria.
Older hotel, room smelled of mold. Rooms need a facelift. It was fine for two nights. Shower was fine, older plumbing, kitchette area.
Front desk was always friendly.
Wonderful stay at a very clean facility. Location was ideal & the staff were very friendly & helpful.
I love that it's like renting an economy apt in NY! Has a stovetop, dishwasher, flatware, plates, glasses, microwave and FULL size refrigerator! You can save money by grocery shopping and cooking yourself, especially if you have children or its a big family getting rooms with pass throughs! The King Suite actually sleeps 4, 2 adults, 2 children on the sofa bed! It has the "Great Room" , bedroom and bathroom! You get granite counter-tops! Also, it has communal gas grills and a pool
Breakfast there is only 1 waffle iron, which caused congestion. The overnight oats was good
The food selection was limited and the hot food wasn't always kept warm
Great
The staff was amazing and helpful. I love the feature to text the front desk for assistance. The rooms and common areas were clean. My room was quiet and comfortable. The fitness center was thoughtfully designed. The breakfast was well-balanced rather than either yogurt and a bagel or a sugary waffle every morning like most places. Throughout, the arm chairs all needed a professional cleaning as the arm rests were very noticeably soiled.
I loved the Chia breakfast
Upgrades to property and staff professionalism is much needed.
Very nice
So I’ve read the most recent reviews and there is a lot of truth to them… The hotel is pretty “tired” and needs to start renovating/updating the rooms and hallways. The lobby is very nice. And the basics of rooms are ok-just needs fresh paint, carpet, couch/chairs…
What prompted me to write was the person working the breakfast. Her name was Tanya. She was a bright ray of sunshine! She was very positive/upbeat! She hustled the entire time I sat there-refilling food, cleaning tables, etc. When someone would ask her for something not readily available, she would try to accommodate the guest-and she did it with a smile! Don’t lose her!!! All-in-all, the hotel is fine for a night and the price… and Tanya is the gem!
Hotel old rundown breakfast was bad.
Unfortunately our stay was not the best experience. I booked thru Travelocity two rooms both with 2 double beds for a total of 6 guests. By the time we checked in, those rooms were gone and we were limited to two rooms with 1 king bed and a sofa sleeper, of which is no where near the same comfort level as a bed. Extremely disappointed. The hotel could not contact me prior to arrival due to Travelocity not sharing person reservation infirmation that they have from booking the reservation. Since it was already really late at night and due to booking thru a 3rd party provider we were stuck. In addition, one bathroom door would not shut completely.
Convenient location got a quick trip
The suites were very spacious with a full kitchen. The breakfast was very nice. I very much enjoyed the outdoor pool, but the water needed to be skimmed or have a net available for people to skim out bugs themselves. The hotel was clean, but minor updates of peeling wallpaper at the baseboards would be ideal. This hotel was priced very affordable for what you got.
