Pros:

The property so so clean the rooms was spacious & the location was next to the spectrum center so we walked to the venue.

Cons:

The only complaint I have was that I went downstairs to the restaurant & nobody was at the front desk & then when someone finally took my order it took forever for our food.

Outstanding customer service!!
Pros:

I have had a challenging week and tomorrow is the most important day so when I dragged myself in Corey saw the exhaustion on my face. I asked for a quiet room and he found me a room on a high floor far away from the elevator. He pointed out the features honors guests receive and was helpful throughout the check in. I am thrilled with the room and I really appreciate Corey’s assistance! I will stay here again on my next time through.

Good stay, great service.
Pros:

I stayed here with my family during a cheer competition on Valentine's Day weekend. I mainly chose this hotel because of its proximity to the convention center. It was a little more than I wanted to spend, but I knew the weekend was going to be busy and not having to worry about driving to and from the center was a huge plus.

I'm a bit of a hillbilly, so I'm not exactly used to fancy decor. The hotel was very nice throughout in my opinion. Employees were actually scrubbing the walls when I checked in. Everything was very clean and well-kept even if some things were dated.

The room was nice. My bed was a little hard for my taste but it worked fine for one night. We were on the 16th floor, so the only noise we really noticed was from the Honda bois and their coffee can mufflers trying to attract a mate on MLK Jr. Blvd. The bathroom was nice, with a fully tiled shower that had a handheld shower head, great for rinsing those hard to reach crevasses. Did I mention cheer competition? I don't know how, but glitter gets EVERYWHERE so that was a welcome amenity. The fridge was small but again served us well for one night.

I decided that after a full day of cheer, plus 6 hours at the mall that I was somehow roped into, that room service would be nice. The menu was not huge, but there was enough variety. The sticker shock was not quite as bad as I expected when I heard "4 star hotel". The food was pretty good, with generous portions that made for plenty of leftovers to heat up when we got home the next evening. My reservation included a breakfast voucher for Sunday morning. The breakfast buffet was amazing, and even my wife had a difficult time finding something to complain about. (She's very critical of any dining experience).

My only issue was that the room service website decided after-the-fact to tack on over 130$ in gratuity (in addition to the gratuity that I already specified). We did get a call from someone in the kitchen later in the evening because he noticed this and said that he would correct it. He did, but unfortunately both the corrected total and the original total got charged to our room.

This is where the after-stay experience kicked in. I called and spoke to Trey Simmons in the front office. He was wonderful, polite, and helpful, and got the issue resolved right away. Special shout-out to Trey for turning buyer's remorse into "maybe I'll do this 4 star thing again in the future"!

Overall, pricey, but definitely worth the once-in-a-while splurge. Great hotel, great food, great service.
