Location
Busy
The staff wasn’t very knowledgeable or experienced. Dude just gave me my room key as if I work there. Where is my room fool?? He was on his phone when I walked up. Not surprising, dude was lucky I was with my son.
The room felt very dirty, especially the carpet.
The hallways, elevators were also very dirty.
The bed creaked
Very close to airport (walkable, shorter than gate connections in Denver or O’Hare). Friendly staff, good check in and out; however the decor is very dated with thick dust on heavy wooden frames in room & bathroom plus the walls are extremely thin. I could hear people snoring in the adjacent room and room above mine.
Very good experience. Staff extremely friendly and professional. Room was clean. Bed comfortable. Great shuttle service. Accommodating. I missed my early flight….they came back and got me and let me check back in! Shower could have been better and needed to tweak the coffee maker. But all in all great stay.
The staff was pleasant
The mattress was nasty. Our room was switched and that mattress was worse. The furniture was old and the tub was rusty. Also it was not close to the hospital which was why we stayed there.
I made a mistake with my reservation and Casey went over and above to help me fix it. I would defiantly recommend this hotel.
The bartender Server was alone and handled the room with excellence.
The tub, shower and Bathroom floor was filthy.
This was a last minute booking due to the government shutdown; otherwise, I would never have been in Albany. I came in late and booked this hotel because I am a Hilton Honor member and because a shuttle was provided. I was thankful to get that. Unfortunately, when the shuttle picked me up, the van reeked of marijuana. I am extremely sensitive. I got in, against my judgement, as I felt I had no other options. I did arrive at the hotel safely. I checked in a went to the okay room as it had been an extremely long day of delays. I noticed in the elevator, one of the buttons was pushed in and had exposed wires. Hmmm. I thought. Thank goodness I did not need that floor. The room was just okay. In the morning, I got up to go down to the lobby. The hallways, in particular the first floor, also smelled of marijuana. The carpets were filthy. I have never stayed in a Hilton of this caliber.
The positive to this experience was the breakfast. Maura, the server, was fabulous. Kuddos to her and the food was great, too.
Upon arriving at home, I emailed the manager to inform him/her of my experience. It took a week to get a reply, only after contacting corporate. Her response was a typical PR response.
I paid a lot of money for this experience because it was a last minute booking. I think I should have stayed at the airport hotel. It would have been a lot cheaper for the same experience. Guests beware!
Habitacion muy comoda

First, I have to say that the staff at the Hilton Garden Albany airport were all very accommodating and friendly. The names I would especially like to mention, would be Casey who checked me in, Brianna, who assisted and Harry.
I was also able to leave my car there for the week that I was traveling. So I returned to the hotel after travel and overnighted there and did not have to go and pick up my car at the airport.
A couple of issues with the room, but I thought the front desk (Harry) especially made things work out.
First of all. There was no one at the desk when I got there. I dropped off my backpack and went to my room and came back and there was an older lady and a lady with pajamas on at the desk talking- they ignored me. It was 5pm. This hotel is literally from the 90s. The entire place smelled like musty and smoke. Very run down. They didn't even have drawers in the bathrooms. They just stuck stuff in that dusty area. The plastic darning curtains were all ripped. The drapes and lamps and carpet are straight from the 1990s. I am not a clean person and I was afraid to sit! The worst part was I could hear everything. My neighbor sneezed for quite a bit and then snored all night. The worst was there was either a band in the other room or a night club- I don't think there was a night club. Playing music loud and singing. I literally got zero sleep. Zero. It's the first time in my life I didn't sleep at all. Buttons were broken in elevator and everything was just disgusting.
What happened? Someone needs to clean this place up. It has been hammered and looks like nothing refreshing has been done for at least 10 years. How the once mighty have fallen.
