Food too simple at the executive lounge
Made a quick visit.
Thank u for the amazing short stay from the speedy check in, room upgrade opportunity & sweet welcome treats.
Deluxe Suite on lower block has been refreshed. Similar layout design with Premier Suite. All seems work well: AC, lighting and water.
Cool welcome treats coordinated by Mr Shahrizal.
EFL eve cocktail/breakie and Paya Serai breakie serve decent spread and food choices. Relaxing ambiance and attentive team.

Kalpana and Rohini gave us a warmest and polite welcome service
Good service - Kalpana Rohini
Excellent Service from KALPANA & ROHINI
Very disappointing stay due to ongoing construction work next door. I understand that hotel management may carry out upgrades and repairs to improve the quality of the property. However, I hope the hotel might have other room options where it is further from the noise? Normally I would be fine, but this time I am travelling with baby.
Kalpana was lovely and sorted my food out with all my food allergies! Delicious food and friendly environment 😊
There was a wide range of options, with food from all over the world!
The Hilton Petaling Jaya is located only about 20 minutes from downtown Kuala Lumpur. It's easily accessible from the airport by taxi or the KLIA Express to the main train station, and from there by MRT to Asia Jaya station.
As a Lifetime Diamond member, I took the elevator to the Executive Lounge to check in. I was kindly given a complimentary upgrade to a corner suite at the end of the same floor, but with an adjoining door to the Royal Suite. I actually liked this suite even more than the two times I've been upgraded to the Royal Suite. Thank you so much for that, and also for the fruit bowl and sweets as a welcome gift. The suite was very tastefully decorated and had everything you could possibly need. The entryway featured a table with four chairs and a refrigerator, complemented by a mirrored wall. There was also a coffee maker, coffee and various teas, and plenty of bottled water. The room also included a comfortable sofa and a flat-screen TV. On the other side of the partition wall were a large, comfortable bed, a desk, and a very comfortable sofa right in front of the window, complete with several cushions. It was very pleasant to lie there and relax. On the way to the bathroom, to the left, was a large built-in wardrobe containing a safe, ironing board, iron, two bathrobes, and two pairs of slippers. The bathroom itself had a handheld shower and a rain shower from the ceiling, as well as a bathtub, a toilet, a sink, and various toiletries.
In the pool area, there are two shallow pools for toddlers and the large pool with a depth of 1.20 meters. The gym is very well-equipped and professionally run, and is located on the ground floor. There are several good restaurants; I only used Paya Serai, where I had breakfast every morning.
During my 30-day trip through Asia, I spent nine days at the Hilton Petaling Jaya. As a Hilton Lifetime Diamond member, I enjoyed the outstanding service and the excellent breakfast buffet at Paya Serai. The selection and quality of the food were first-class, and the restaurant had also been completely renovated. I love Asian food and loved being able to create my own soup each morning. There were several soups to choose from: vegetarian, Tom Yum, Laksa, and chicken. Every morning there was also a fresh salad, fresh fruit, and sometimes fried mushrooms or an egg; I also really like dim sum. The selection was truly fantastic, with something for everyone – from Indian and Chinese to Malaysian and Western dishes. I must especially commend the excellent service from Rohini, Rizal, Kalpana, Shahrul, and Fatin, who took such good care of me every day and lovingly prepared my table. Many thanks also to Lisa, the restaurant manager, the F&B manager Shahrizal, and his assistant Linda, who, along with their fantastic team, made my stay an unforgettable experience. A heartfelt thank you as well to the kitchen staff for preparing the meals. And of course, I thank the rest of the restaurant staff. I'm already looking forward to my next stay at the Hilton Petaling Jaya to enjoy this outstanding service again.
Upstairs, there's also a lovely Executive Lounge with complimentary breakfast and drinks throughout the day. In the evenings, there's a buffet with a variety of hot and cold snacks, fruit, and sweets. This lounge is available to Diamond members and guests with Executive rooms. As a Lifetime Diamond member, I only used it for check-in and check-out, and two or three times in the morning for breakfast when the restaurant was too crowded on weekends. Many thanks to Jennifer, Vimala, and Payuvi. The rest of the hotel staff were also very friendly and helpful. A special mention goes to Fatima from housekeeping on the 20th floor, where I had my suite last week. She was always there when I needed anything. I didn't use the room cleaning service during my nine-day stay, but when the water ran out, she immediately brought a new container. Tea, towels, and other amenities were also promptly delivered. A huge thank you to all the housekeeping staff! It's the toughest job in the hotel and, unfortunately, often underappreciated. Many thanks also to Sinan, the new hotel director, and Mr. Gomez, the general manager, for the great stay and the upgrade, and of course to Shahrizal, the F&B manager, and Ganesh from the front office.
Everything was good except a staff named Jenifer who manned the executive lounge.
I had a late check in at around 9.30pm on 19 January. I headed to the executive lounge for a drink before it closed at 10pm.
On arrival, I was told by Jennifer and another guest that the lounge closed at 10pm. Taking note of that, I told that I just needed some drinks before it closed.
At 9.45pm , the second last group of guests left and passed us by. Jennifer was so enthusiastically saying goodbyes and thanking them. My wife and brother and I were the only guests left. Barely a minute passed, Jennifer dimmed the lights and the entire seating area became dark. Her silent gestures gave us a bad impression that we should left by then.
When I looked at the time, it was 7minutes to ten. It was not even 10 on the dot. Feeling extremely disappointed and angry, we left. Needless to say, she saw us passing by and without saying a word of thanks.
Such a staff having such an unprofessional act is definitely not uncalled for. It jeopardized the image of Hilton Petaling Jaya. I am writing this not to seek any compensation nor any service recovery. I am just disgusted by such unprofessional way of shooting a guest off from an executive lounge.
At the lobby, I bumped into this staff. I thanked her twice for switching off the lights. Her responses were telling that I was being weird.
Well I have to say that this staff is definitely not deemed to be a hotelier.
Already informed for late checking at 7PM, when we got there, there are no rooms available. The staffs are very fortunate to have us not needing the room at the time and we can come back to check in again 3 hours later. only late check in
Otherwise, room is clean, plentiful breakfast option.
Very good facilities and furnishings
The basement car park is rather narrow and crowded. Also the soundproofing between rooms isn't great.
