The young man that checked us in Andrew was a very nice person very helpful and he recommended a good restaurant for us to go to, which was excellent. We like the location. We liked our stay last time. We had absolutely no issues at all the beds in the rooms are very comfortable. We like the fact that there’s an exercise room and housekeeping was very helpful and keeping us supplied with towels on our last visit we didn’t need anything this time.
This time we were up on the fourth floor instead of the second, the water pressure up there was terrible. It took forever for the water to get hot. From the time we got there, the bathroom sink would not drain properly. We informed the front desk within an hour of our arrival. Nothing was done while we were there .The most annoying part of our stay was there it was a mechanical room directly next to our room number 417. The air handler in that room was so loud. It sounded like a locomotive idling just on the other side of wall. This continued all day and into the night. It was turned off sometime during the night, but restarted each morning it made it unpleasant to be in the room. Both trash cans were rusty in the bottoms. The ceiling was falling down in one location. Looks like it may have been a roof leak at one time that had not been properly patched or repaired and on our last day some kind of big bug was trying to get out of the room before we did. And lastly, it would be nice if they had one more selection of just plain scrambled eggs for breakfast. We went to McDonald’s both days because neither one of us care for those omelette things. The rest of the breakfast was just fine.
Staff very helpful. Breakfast was awesome.
Smell of cleaning fluid in room was a little strong.
Cigarette smell everywhere. Nasty smell
Wow — extremely disappointing for a Hilton property. Our room was very outdated, worn, and not very clean. The office chair was absolutely filthy (see attached photo), the bedframe sagged, the floors were dirty, and the window shade was broken.
After reading other reviews, my guess is that our room had not been recently updated. We also noticed we did not have features other guests mentioned, such as a bidet or a remote-controlled toilet. We were placed in a handicap-accessible room, which was not our preference. Unfortunately, the hotel was fully booked, so changing rooms was not an option.
I do want to note that the hotel staff were pleasant, and the breakfast was fairly standard. I also appreciated that coffee and water were always available in the lobby — a nice touch.
Other than that, I would not stay here again.

Communication was superb, Andrew sent me several texts to see how my stays are going. He made me feel very special. Location was good; not too far from Swamp Rabbit trail, and coffee shops, restaurants and other retail stores are near by. Fairly quiet at night and we got a good sleep.
Bathroom can be updated. There are noticeable stains on the corner, and air bent over shower defiantly need attention . Also, I felt the room door was too thin; I could hear people walking by and shutting the doors. Fortunately no loud customers at the time we started.
Ubicación, limpieza.
The property was clean and comfortable. The staff we interacted with was great. Both Jessica and Andrew were extremely pleasant, welcoming and attentive.
Nothing comes to mind
Very welcoming staff. Easy to locate, plenty of parking,
Close to walking trail and walkable to to downtown restaurants and shops.
Hotel is very clean and well maintained.
Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. Bathrooms spotless, and even had a bidet. Breakfast the first day was somewhat disappointing, eggs were cold and very little left, no bagels left or not replenished etc but the subsequent two mornings were very good.
Only thing was the first morning breakfast experience was disappointing and this was about an hour before it closed.
Location
Travelers Rest is always a fun town, and when I take my bike on a work trip it is even better.
Swamp Rabbit trail is right out the front door, literally walk across the street and theres the trail.
Newly updated to bright modern rooms.
This is also the 1st Hampton Inn Ive ever stayed at in 20+ years on the road that had a bidet.
