Hampton Inn Sturgis-Lagrange Area

The hotel needs updating. It has a musty smell. My wheelchair tire went flat. Asked if they had a chair I could use. They have none. Accessible room was given to other people. Staff is nice. Won’t stay here again.

The overall stay was bad we had a fun time in the pool but the pool floor is slippery and you will fall they said they had a hot tub but it was upstairs and upstairs was under repair the pool is deep and the water is nasty the room was disgusting we found stains on our bed and our sheets the room smelled and the shower floor was disgusting whould not recommend to stay the service was ok and their breakfast was told to be horrible 1 / 10 if you want to swim go their but don't waist your money.

The staff was very friendly and timely at check-in. Easy peasy. The room seemed clean, however the carpet felt sticky to bare feet, like it wasn't rinsed properly when it was steam cleaned. The outside grounds could use some attention though. Weeds growing all along the inside of the curbs all the way around the parking lot. All in all it was a good stay though. Would stay at this location again.

everything was clean staff were nice. Bathroom did not have any shampoo or conditioner in their dispenser. They were told when we checked out as I was already wet in shower before I realized they didn’t have any left

It was a nice hotel and clean.

The room appeared to have had some renovation within the past year. Most of the room was very nice. However the molding around the tub does not look as if it was replaced as mold was showing along large parts of it.

Bed was hard as a rock, and the pillows were flatter than pancakes. Definitely did not sleep well. I stay at Hampton anytime I travel and have never had an issue

The hotel was OK, but had some issues.

I had checked in on line and already selected my room so check in was quick. The clerk was pleasant.

The room smelled kinda musty even though the AC was set at 64F. The room was not 64 degrees. We didn't stick around long because we had a family gathering. Later in the evening the musty smell was much worse. it was almost midnight so we just went to sleep. however, both of us were awake several times with congestion and scratchy throats. We switched rooms in the morning.

The room we got was a little smaller and still had a slightly musty odor. I will admit that the entire area around the hotel had a musty burning inversion kinda smell especially in the farming areas just up in Michigan. however, the common areas did not have any smell at all.

another problem was that someone had shut off the fridge in the new room. I put some food in there and much later that evening i found it was warm and ruined. I have stayed in many hundreds of hotels and never before thought I had to check that the fridge was turned on.

The rest of the room was OK.

The bed was OK with nice pillows and clean sheets.

Room lighting was mediocre, one outlet and one lamp was broken.

There was a nice big TV with netflix and disney on it.

The bathroom was clean with plenty of towels.

The AC did work reasonably well if not a bit loud.

They had a pool, but I did not use it. I did not see if they had a gym.

Breakfast was typical Hampton Inn. eggs, sausage, yogurt, waffles, etc. no problem there.

The hotel was generally OK, but Hampton Inn is usually the best of the "big three" and maybe a little more work is needed on this one.

Pretty run down. Bed was okay. Kindof musty smell everywhere.

Great price! Very helpful front desk staff.

Shower curtains dont stay closed and the trim in bethroom behind the door looked awful
