It was in a good location
They offered no food, and the TV was not acceptable.
They need to upgrade
Great location.
The stay was okay, but a few things were frustrating. There was no staff available in the lobby in the morning, which made it difficult to get assistance. The coffee was okay, but there was no filtered water available. We were a group of four staying for two nights and only received three towels. When I asked for more, I was told I’d have to wait to see if they had any extras, which felt unaccommodating.
Most concerning, however, was that the back doors to the hotel were left unlocked—no key card was needed to enter from those door… big of a security issue!
Great location, great rate, easy in and out of the parking lot during a heavy tourist presence.
The room must have been remodeled lately, seemed to have a paint smell. Also the outlets in the room were too few and need to be replaced. There was no easy access at the nightstand. I have an CPAP and also needed to charge my phone. The plugs in the room were so loose the cords would fall out of them. There were no USB outlets, I ended up improvising and used the outlet on the back of the cable box. It worked in a pinch.
Location
Stench smell
Cheap
No breakfast. Room was not clean, did not have wash cloths or hand towels or toilet paper and wasn't vacuumed.
I loved how friendly the staff was. Perfect location for family fun.
The were very few outlets .
No breakfast available
Room wasn’t cleaned earlier. Ours was not cleaned until after 5 pm. and then we still had to ask for items
Tv and clock did not work
Have been coming up to Mackinaw city for the past 10 years. Have stayed at multiple hotels in the area. This one works good for location to ferry dock and waterpark for the kids. Rooms were somewhat updated last year. It’s a good value for the money if you’re able to look past wear and tear on rooms.
The room had a musty smell to it. Carpets definitely need to be cleaned and a window that opened would help let fresh air in the room. Pool and hot tub were not very clean as well.
LOCATION IS GOOD
Was very dirty in common areas and had a very bad odor.
This was one of the cheapest hotels in Mackinaw City but, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for.
It was a weird atmosphere. It seems like there is a large(more than 10) family who lives at the hotel. Their personal items were in random places. The bathroom was gross. It looked like someone splattered something on the ceiling and it was never cleaned. The TV didn’t work the first night. This hotel said that they have no connection with booking.com and they didn’t have any of my credit card info. This is the only hotel I’ve stayed at that I had to provide my credit card to after reserving through booking.com.
we did not have hot water for shower. no one came back to fix it, we had 4 people for 4 days and no shower. the hallway on the bottom of the steps had a water leak from the cealing. Could only imagine how much mold was growing in the panels!
Location to the ferry dock.
1st Receptionist told me there would be coffee, tea and hot chocolate in front lobby in the morning and when I went there there was nothing. Receptionist then told me I had to exit the front door and walk around building to the next hotel and get my coffee there. 2nd never received house keeping while I was out of my room except trash emptied. Beds left unmade I had to remake them at the end of a long day for my family, microwave was dirty and wouldn't use it, coffee was not resupplied in my room. Had to wait till went for breakfast.
Bedsheets and comforters and floor was full of hair. I have asked to change the bedsheets and they ga e me couple of new pair but still lot of hair. Floor was dirty and had lot of hair on it. Pillows gad very foul smell like they have been used by 2-3 people earlier. My be room was not cleaned before we move in. Limited my stay to one night only because of that and don’t even know how we managed to sleep in that foul smell.
