Terrible Stay
Pros:

Strongly recommend you do not stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Las Vegas - Red Rock/Summerlin. Posting now because we have gotten no where recouping lost funds from this experience with this hotel or their parent company since July 2025.

My family and I stayed one night at this location in July 2025 during a military move from NW Nevada to Texas. We are a family of four with two young kids and a small dog; we were traveling in my 2020 Chrysler Minivan (stock tires and rims), which we parked directly in front of the front entrance to the hotel. Luckily we brought all of our belongings inside the room the evening we arrived. I walked my dog about 9 pm the one night we stayed here, and our minivan was ok and locked.

I went out the next morning to walk our dog and all four tires, rims, and brake pads were stolen from our minivan and our vehicle was resting on blocks of broken cement, which appeared to broken off the curb. Again, we parked our minivan under the lights, directly in front of the hotel front entrance. You can see our minivan from the front desk in the picture below.

The staff could not have cared less. When asked if they had security, they said no. When asked if they had security cameras outside their building, they said no. When asked if they had a security camera facing out of their front entrance (where our vehicle was located), they said no. All they really indicated was they are not responsible for any vehicles in their parking lot, which they partially share with The Las Vegas Athletic Club (Grand Flamingo Center). They also told us to call the police if we needed help. Apparently there are no security guards or cameras anywhere on this premise. We received more assistance from the Athletic Club; they provided police with their security camera footage of the parking lot.

This occurred on a Saturday night into a Sunday morning so there were not many repair shops open and our insurance office was closed, which forced us to leave our vehicle on blocks of broken cement until Monday morning. It also forced us to figure what the heck to do as we had planned to continue on our drive to Texas, and this delayed our checkout from the hotel. Although the manger did provide a late checkout, the hotel staff seemed like they were doing us a favor by giving us a late checkout and asked when the minivan would be towed out of their parking lot. How do you tow a minivan with no tires on a Sunday?

The minivan took over a month to fix because it was put on rocks and the underside was damaged. I had to rent a very expensive one way truck with room to fit our entire lives to finish our move. My husband had to fly from Texas to Las Vegas a month later to retrieve our vehicle from the repair shop and drive back to Texas, again. Subsequent engagements with this hotel, and their parent company, to recoup costs have gone no where.

We ended up paying the full amount for the room - we just wanted a safe, clean hotel to stay for one night. The worst hotel experiences of my life. I did not feel safe here and do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Comfortable stay, convenient to west side parks
Pros:

A friend and I stayed for 5 nights in mid-January. We booked two queens with breakfast included. The hotel is sandwiched between a medical office building complex, a La Quinta Inn and the freeway. It's a quiet spot, especially at night, and the freeway noise was no bother. It does mean you need to drive everywhere to get to food and shops (all within a 5-minute drive or so). The breakfast was above average with cooked omelets, waffle maker, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, carbs and a toaster, etc. The shower pressure was fantastic! The only thing that was annoying was that many of the ice makers were broken on the different floors.

This west side of Vegas is a nicer area and felt safe. It's also close to the parks we wanted to visit (Red Rock Canyon, Spring Mountain Ranch, Mt. Charleston, etc.). I'd stay again.

Overall good experience with helpful, pleasant staff.
Pros:

Simple breakfast was perfect.

Cons:

We had requested a top floor, corner quiet room but the hotel claimed that they had not received the message from Booking.com.
Therefore, no such room was available to us. They gave us a ground floor room in the middle of the hallway which was noisy with roudy teenagers.
Refrigerator did not work but hotel staff replaced it with functioning refrigerator.
