Boutique Hotel Josef

Self check in, which I do find a little impersonal. One of the two rooms I booked was tiny, albeit adequate.

There was zero aircon and room temperature was 33 degrees, when we opened windows and door we managed to get it down to 30 degrees. However then we had the noise from trains coming and going, squealing brakes!

Nuestra habitación era muy pequeña, la cama pegada a la pared, sin mesitas de noche y casi sin espacio para abrir una maleta grande que llevábamos. Todo el proceso de check-in y out es automático en una máquina, así que no podemos decir nada del personal, eso si, bastante fácil de hacer.

Vierde etage heeft schuin dak, geef dit duidelijk met kleurverschil aan om stoten te voorkomen!!

L'aria condizionata in camera non funzionava correttamente.

Self-Check-In langweilt mich etwas, kein Personal vor Ort, dadurch unpersönlich. Aber was echt nicht geht war das Frühstück!!! Buchung in einem hippen Boutique-Hotel und dann ist das Frühstück in einem alten „Schwesterhotel“ mit trockenen Aufbackbrötchen und Dosenfrüchten a là 90er und der Kaffee war eine richtige Plörre…wie gut, dass im Hotelzimmer wenigsten noch eine Nespressokapsel übrig war!!!

Leider schon sehr abgewohnt und das Furnier insbesondere im Bad war abgeblättert. Klimaanlage lief auch nicht gut, sodass kaum Abkühlung des doch extrem kleinen Zimmers nicht möglich war. Fenster öffnen war ebenfalls keine Option durch eine sehr laut weiche im Bahnhof

Lite å klage på med unntak av airconditionen, som vi ikke fikk til å fungere som ønskelig (men det kan også være vår mangel på innsikt…). Kostbart å bo i Zürich, og dette hotellet var ikke noe unntak (riktig ende av prisskalaen da).

Even with ventilation set up for ”coldest” it was impossible to sleep with 28°C at night.
Could not open window because was too loud and hotel unfortunately did not provide earplugs.
Doors to bathroom did not close (double slider) leaving 1cm gap right into wc seat.
Light in the room had only two setting: all off or all on. My partner wanted to read a book while I went to sleep but there was no option.

The AC didn’t work and our room was 29 degrees Celsius. It had only a small window and it was really loud from the trains. We arrived shortly after 9 pm and there was no staff - had to go to a different location to get the key. Did not meet any hotel staff at check out either. Our room was missing towels (it was set up for one person, not two - despite my booking for two) but we as there was no staff there was nothing we could do. Overall, passable but far from a great experience

We stayed over night, temperature reaching 34, with no air conditioning system our room was very hot and humid. Supplied fan to use.

It was right next to the train station - we had two rooms for our family, one of them the air conditioning worked pretty well, the second not really at all ... So with the windows open all night, that room heard EVERY bit of train squealing and street noise. It's a nice enough hotel, but not boutique ... The air conditioning not working, no one picking up when I called, each room had only one bath towel (make that make sense for rooms with king beds??), the train noise was really a lot more unbearable than other reviews left. In the future I'll be more particular about booking a hotel near a train station and what the reviews say about AC (we don't have AC at home in Germany, but we have a better handle on managing heat/cooling there apparently).
