Stick to a local bed and breakfast, the "amenities" at the Hampton are so not worth it.
Pros:

The location was great. We were a short car ride from the EV charging station, grocery store, pizza spot and brewery. The breakfast attendants are the only people that enjoy working at this hotel and they were delightful.

Cons:

Our room wasn't ready until about 5pm and we had arrived for check-in at around 3pm. We were only in Taos for one night to see a concert which had started at 5pm. We had dinner plans that we had to cancel because we had nowhere to get ready. The staff told us they were shorthanded and the previous night was sold out so most of the rooms were still dirty. It was a mess. One of the staff at the front desk was very combative and made us feel like it was our fault our room wasn't ready. (We haven't even started our stay at this point.) Later in the night when getting setting in our room we discover:
•none of the USB chargers work
•the night stands were dirty; not wiped properly
•faint orange stains on the bed sheets
•flys in the bathroom
•insects on the tv stand
•sliding door to the restroom lock is broken
•no make-up wipes
•tv remote needed new batteries
•flat, uncomfortable pillows
•jets in the bathtub were grimy
•old, low flow toilets
One of the worst hotel experiences I've literally ever had. I can't believe just how bad it all was. I wish we would have chose a bed and breakfast or Airbnb but we expect the Hampton inn to be a modernized place with great amenities and it just wasn't it.

Would stay here again without a doubt!

It’s a good hotel and it’s comfortable, as long as you don’t have noisy neighbors to ruin it.
Pros:

Convenient location; comfortable bed; AC worked well

Cons:

Walls are thin— we could hear the neighbors talking and their kid crying late at night and again early in the morning. Shower could use more water pressure.

Pros:

The property was clean and had a nice indoor pool. The front desk lady was super helpful, because that specific day, Booking had some sort of a glitch that caused all last minute reservations to get hung up (the call queue was 30+ min when usually it’s like 2). She was only able to see part of the booking, but she let us check in anyway, because we were exhausted.

Cons:

There wasn’t really anything to dislike. The price seemed a little high but the area is turning into a touristy location, and this property is one of the nicer ones in the area.

Highly disappointed
Cons:

We stayed at this hotel for two nights, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing.
Despite staying multiple nights, the room was never cleaned, and the towels and bedsheets were not replaced after the first day. The bathroom exhaust fan was not working, and although I reported the issue, no action was taken during our stay.
To make matters worse, we were charged two different room rates for the two nights, both of which were significantly higher than the price shown on Booking.com.

Overall, the lack of basic housekeeping, poor maintenance, and inconsistent billing made this a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend staying here.
