Bad. Billed twice for same stay.
Pros:

Check in was okay, but it all fell apart right after check-in.

Cons:

I checked in on a Friday. When I checked in, we were told there was no hot water and the inspectors were on campus. What they did not say was that the hot water was out since Monday, a full five days.

The staff is super friendly. They were so nice. Upfront about the hot water problem they had. I was given the first night free bc of the water problem.

Parking was a nightmare. clearly not enough parking in well lighted areas. The overflow parking was very scary. Not safe in my opinion.

Pros:

The staff is exceptional. I wish I could remember the woman's name that was working the breakfast buffet. She was so accommodating and friendly, as was the front desk. The room was clean and comfortable, and the AC worked great.

Cons:

The pool wasn't clean . It was very disappointing. I should have made management aware of it, but didn't.

Pros:

Staff were friendly, helpful, and responsive. Breakfast was decent but not great.

Cons:

The biggest disappointment was the room. It was worn all around- stained carpet, rust and other signs of age and wear in shower and sink, some spotting on walls. Made everything feel dingy and not clean. Not sure if it was just our room or a larger issue. I’d call it borderline.

Stick to a local bed and breakfast, the "amenities" at the Hampton are so not worth it.
Pros:

The location was great. We were a short car ride from the EV charging station, grocery store, pizza spot and brewery. The breakfast attendants are the only people that enjoy working at this hotel and they were delightful.

Cons:

Our room wasn't ready until about 5pm and we had arrived for check-in at around 3pm. We were only in Taos for one night to see a concert which had started at 5pm. We had dinner plans that we had to cancel because we had nowhere to get ready. The staff told us they were shorthanded and the previous night was sold out so most of the rooms were still dirty. It was a mess. One of the staff at the front desk was very combative and made us feel like it was our fault our room wasn't ready. (We haven't even started our stay at this point.) Later in the night when getting setting in our room we discover:
•none of the USB chargers work
•the night stands were dirty; not wiped properly
•faint orange stains on the bed sheets
•flys in the bathroom
•insects on the tv stand
•sliding door to the restroom lock is broken
•no make-up wipes
•tv remote needed new batteries
•flat, uncomfortable pillows
•jets in the bathtub were grimy
•old, low flow toilets
One of the worst hotel experiences I've literally ever had. I can't believe just how bad it all was. I wish we would have chose a bed and breakfast or Airbnb but we expect the Hampton inn to be a modernized place with great amenities and it just wasn't it.
