Improve the breakfast
No hassle about my pet. I always appreciate any hotel room without carpeting with or without pets. I hate carpet. It is just dirty.
I was in a room right next to the ice machine so my dog was on high alert all night as people went to get ice my dog would patrol the door and growl.

When I stay in Myrtle Beach I only stay in the LaQuinta N King Hwy, One week every year. I just love this Hotel.
This February stay they didn't have a room on the first floor I alway bring my little chihuahua, he's not happy with the elevators.
I enjoyed how friendly the staff was all of them were very friendly and welcoming.
Our room was not the cleanest there was a white powder all in our bathroom and a large red stain on our carpet.
I knew the hotel was pet friendly but I didn't like that there are extra fees to have your pet with you I didn't mind paying it but I wish it would have been mentioned before booking.
The hot breakfast provided was quiet overrated the meal was and alot of the food was not good.

The place was dirty, I had to sweep my own room, it smelled of dog urine, so I had to clean and disenfected it my self. Breakfast scrambled eggs were cold. They ran out of bread and bagels. Cereal tasted old. The drive way into the place was traffic congested. Few parking spaces.

Look for a different hotel this one will scam u out of ur money! I don't smoke but I was charged $500 at this hotel when we were all sleeping. I got up n turned the AC on then right back to bed. 5 mins later an account that wasn't even used at the hotel was charged. The account they charged was used with a 3rd party to hold the room but the room was paid for wit a completely different account with the same name as the persons name on the room. La Quinta wasn't authorized to use that account for payment or charges. I tried to get someone to come to the room to see there was obviously no smoke of any kind in the room since we checked in. I filled out their form n was told someone would contact me which never happened. I had to go all the way back there n physically walk back into the hotel to talk to someone about it A lot of good it done cuz all she did was lie to me even more n the charge has yet to be reversed. IDC what their system said I know there was no one smoking in that room. This was obviously a scam to get money.
I have since done some research only to find out that false positive smoking alerts are a common issue with this hotel and that the system they use to detect smoke is only 73% effective and thats only if the device is completely dust free and without any insects or bugs around it.
I had a bed to sleep in.
There wasn't a chair in the room, the room had an unpleasant odor, people were in the hallway hanging out until about 12 ish, and the breakfast had very few items to choose from, along with just coffee to drink.
Terrible experience. Got accused of smoking in the room while we were literally sleeping...
Woke up, went out on the town, came back around 3 to take a nap in preparation for the evening. Got woken up around 5 to a knock on the door telling us that smoke was detected by a 3rd party company and we either had to pay a $400 smoking fee or leave immediately. Never asked to check the room in which she would have realized there was no smoking or vaping in the room. Just straight accusations and punishment. Also kept my $100 deposit and no refund for the night we didnt get to stay. Definitely seems like a scam they are running. They get to double charge for a room or collect an extra $400 for no reason.
The room was also not very clean. Definitely better places to stay around Myrtle.
