Good menu options and the food was delicious, whether it was dinner or breakfast. The room was clean and spacious with a desk, refrigerator, and TV. The staff was friendly and helpful. This location was convenient to attractions. I enjoyed my stay. There was some noise coming from the freeway.
We checked in Mar 5th and is a property we frequent several times a year when visiting our son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren who live nearby. We truly consider the hotel our home base when we are in town.
From the moment we arrived, the bellman warmly welcomed us back, recognized us as repeat guests, and graciously handled our (considerable!) luggage for grandparents with two young grandchildren. The front desk team was professional and kind, thanking us for our loyalty as Hyatt members. In the restaurant, Terez (forgive me if I misspelled her name) recognized us immediately and welcomed us back, and Mason, our waiter, was exceptionally patient and attentive with our large family. These team members represent hospitality at its best.
Unfortunately, the condition of our guest room (#634) fell well below the standard we have experienced in the past. There were visible fingerprints and dirt on tabletops, and a noticeable amount of trash under the couch. Most concerning, our toddler grandson discovered a nitrous oxide cartridge and balloon under the couch.
These cartridges (and balloons) are commonly misused as a party drug (i.e. “huffing whippets”). In the hands of a toddler, this presents significant risks — including choking hazards, ingestion of residue, or potential respiratory harm if placed in the mouth. The fact that our 4 year old grandson found it before an adult did was extremely unsettling.
I immediately brought the item to the front desk supervisor on duty (apologies as I don’t remember her name), who handled the situation professionally and assured me she would document and escalate the matter to management appropriately. I appreciated her responsiveness.
That said, this incident highlights the critical role housekeeping plays not only in guest satisfaction, but in guest safety. Thorough inspection under furniture and in less visible areas is essential, particularly in a hotel that welcomes many families.
I emailed the hotel General Manager on 6 Mar, and have yet to hear anytyhing back. Upon check-out, the front desk supervisor assured me she escalated the situation to management. I still would appreciate learning what steps management intends to take to ensure this does not happen again for any guest.
We have always felt welcomed and cared for by their team, which is precisely why I took the time to write.
I expected Hyatt to be a decent and comfortable hotel experience, but unfortunately, our stay did not fully meet that expectation.
Upon arrival, the front desk staff was very direct and not particularly welcoming. However, I would like to commend the bellman, who was very helpful and courteous.
Parking was convenient, and room service was good.
However, there were several concerns:
• The WiFi was slow.
• The TV was not working properly and would not connect to Netflix.
• There were very limited outlets at the desk area, which made it difficult to plug in laptops and other devices.
• For a 4-night stay, there was not enough shampoo and conditioner prepared in the room.
The biggest issue was the bedding. The blanket and sheets felt old and had an unpleasant smell. The pillows were small, very firm, uncomfortable, and also had an odor. After long days, comfort matters, and this was disappointing.
I hope the hotel can improve these areas for future guests
My wife and I are Globalist in the Hyatt loyalty program. This is the second highest level available. We achieved this by spending a great deal of money at Hyatt locations over the years. We are normally upgraded and our requests given the highest level of attention. Except at this property. We stayed here 6 different times over the last year. Each time the level of service and accommodations received have declined.
Every time I closed all my eyes all I could think about was writing a review to warn others. It is so loud! The traffic never stops and you can hear it night and day… even with earplugs.
Our hotel room which was a junior suite was awesome. Bit high on road noise so windows could be improved to dampen noise. Gym was mediocre to poor at best. If you like to work out you’ll be disappointing. Pretty small for a hotel of this size. Cafe and bar close early so don’t count on socializing downstairs in the evening.
Location
Our “view” room didn’t really have a view
The location of this hotel is excellent—right in the heart of Valencia with easy access to restaurants, shopping, and nearby attractions. Unfortunately, the property itself misses the mark when it comes to upkeep and comfort and is badly in need of a renovation.
While my room was generally clean, the bed was extremely uncomfortable and sagged noticeably in the middle. On my last day, I removed the sheets and discovered a large stain on the mattress, which was honestly gross and unacceptable for a property at this level.
That said, the staff truly shines. The front desk and restaurant teams are amazing—friendly, helpful, and professional. They are absolutely what make this hotel redeeming and deserve recognition. Parking is also easy and convenient with the attached garage.
The gym, however, is very disappointing for a hotel of this size and brand.
I would consider staying here again only after a full renovation and replacement of the beds. Based on this experience, I would not currently recommend this property.
We’re always treated great and top rooms. The hospitality is wonderful!!! We’ve been coming here for 20+ years! It’s the best!
Staff were friendly & helpful; the hotel was clean and well situated within walking distance to a lot of shoppes & eateries.
Impeccable service in the restaurant along with tasty food. Great location for fine dining and shopping at the local Mall within walking distance. I really enjoyed my room it was very spacious for being an assessible room. I am disabled.
Convenient location - close to restaurants and shopping areas. Adequate parking area. Quiet neighborhood surrounding. Restaurant onsite.
Bathroom could use some refurbishing - especially shower area. No power outlet around the desk area. No coffee in the room.
close to my family
My lunch at the Hyatt Regency today wasn't just bad it was a blatant disregard for a paying guest.
I came in expecting a reliable meal. What I got was a hamburger that felt like an insult on a plate. The moment I lifted it, oil gushed out, soaking through the bun and pooling on the plate. This wasn't juscy; it was a soggy, greasy sponge masquerading as food. The patty itself was flavorless with overwhelming taste of fat.
I am genuinely offended by the carelessness of this. When I pay a premium at a hotel like this, I'm paying for competence. This was a failure of basic kitchen standards. Did no one look at this before it left the pass? It felt like they simply did not care what they serve.
The experience ruined my afternoon. I left not just disappointed, but angry. I felt physically unpleasant and financially taken advantage of. You have undermined my trust completely. I will actively warn others against eating here, and I will remember this the next time I consider any Hyatt dining.
Fix your kitchen. This is beneath your brand and disrespectful to your guests.
The service at check in was great.
There was leftover food in the refrigerator. The coffee machine was filthy and unusable. We had to go downstairs and purchase coffee.
