Clean, modern, great bar and restaurant. Location close to museum, parks, high end shopping and transit. Further from distillery, harbor, and old town. Parking is $$.
Great location… the large area for unloading and valet service, which is protected from the weather and is easy to access, was a bonus!
EVERY SINGLE STAFF MEMBER WAS SMILING AND MARVELOUSLY HELPFUL!
??? Nothing!
An excellent hotel in the heart of Toronto. The rooms were great and the staff were very friendly and professional. Just across the street from excellent shopping and dining.
Great location. Staff very pleasant.
Check in delayed by 1hr 15. Almost missed a very important meeting. Bathroom cleanliness not exactly what I expect from a property of this standard. Human hair in the shower.
It left a bad taste. Being a Hyatt explorist member, I expected a decent room. But I was given lower floor room, close to elevator with a shared door to next room - which facilitated lots of noise from neighboring room. I didn’t have comfortable sleep due to noise. The hotel truly won’t recognize loyalty status . It’s not worth it and look elsewhere .
After a terrible stay at another hotel in Toronto. My fiance & I visited Park Hyatt to see as an option. When we got there, we were impressed, was greeted and offered water even if we were not guests at the time. We immediately knew this was a good hotel to switch. In addition, the restaurant, bar, and overall service was beyond our expectations. I personally recommend this place all the way.
Park Hyatt Toronto is a value for money! The neighborhood is nice; the location is strategic. The staff are accommodating and really helpful. They support sustainability which is a big plus. The room is nice and cozy. Everything about this hotel is wonderful and will complete your Toronto experience.
Great location in the middle of Yorkville with convenient walking to shops and restaurants. We had booked a deluxe room and it was surprisingly spacious with lovely decor. A lot of thought was put into the room, including a tiny shelf in the shower where you could rest your leg for shaving. Always appreciate a bidet too. It was my birthday and the hotel sent up a lovely pastry and sparkling wine. Minor observations, the check-in area is a very small room which felt congested quickly and the lobby is austere with no inviting spaces for lounging. Staff was pleasant but lacking a bit of finesse. We travel to Asia frequently where service and amenities at luxury hotels are unparalleled, so take my review with a grain of salt. But overall, it was a lovely stay and we will return when we are next in Toronto.
We just returned from the Park Hyatt Toronto and I'd have to say the reviews are pretty accurate. It's a beautiful property with some highs and some lows. Overall it would be a 4.2-4.3 rating for me.
The pros:
Beautiful property, love the flowers in the entry and lovely signature scent
Spacious rooms and nice finishes
Convenient house car service
fantastic location
Fantastic breakfast at Joni
(mostly) wonderful staff
The cons:
Pricey compared to other 5* properties in Toronto
Fairly small lobby, the check-in area is small room to the right of the entrance
Inconsistent staff experiences
No globalist recognition at all
No suite upgrade
No space in the fridge (it's prefilled with mini-bar items)
We stayed as a family of 4 and right before checking in, I saw there were several suites available (standard and premium). Upon check-in though, the staff told me that there was only a corner suite available for $250 per night. I told her I could see the suite online so she went to ask her manager who promptly said No. Ok....I didn't want to argue so we just took the standard room.
We're Globalists and don't always fight for the upgrade but do expect some type of welcome amenity or note in the room. Nothing here. I mentioned it was my daughter's birthday to the concierge later that day and she was so sweet- sent up a cake, note, macarons and little raccoon stuffed animal (it had the cutest Park Hyatt bandana). The cleaning staff were equally wonderful and gave my kids extra chocolates plus a little note.
Breakfast at Joni was AMAZING. My husband said it's his favorite Hyatt breakfast (other than Asia). High praise coming from a guy who's stayed everywhere from PH Paris to Alila Ventana. I think it was the crispy hashbrowns that won his heart :)
Overall would I stay again? No. There are so many other 5* properties in Toronto to choose from that the Park Hyatt just isn't worth a return for us.
excellent service and room, great location next to ROM, get the feeling of being cared for, best room service food in a while
Upon booking, I requested a late checkout for my daughter so she would have a safe place to wait while I had surgery. They had originally given us 4pm, which we thought was amazing. Unfortunately, my surgery ran later than expected and the hotel allowed her to stay until almost 6 pm, when I was finally ready for discharge, without any additional charges. This helped us both out immensely in a very stressful time for us because she didn't have to wander the city alone with nowhere safe to wait. Very impressed with his level of compassion!
great atmosphere and perfect for productive business travel. Really had a great in-room set up to help with personal fitness & wellbeing - like a fitness app and yoga mat on the TV, plus the Headspace app to help me undwind and relax
Excellent in every way. Same level of service as the Hazelton around the corner which is also excellent. I believe the hotel is a tremendous value because the room and service justify the price and then some.
Park Hyatt in Toronto is located in the centre of the old town and next to the museums, and a 30-minute drive from the airport, YYZ, or about an hour on public transport. The hotel has a nice modern touch with plenty of art dotted around the hotel. The lobby is to the right as you enter and on the left is the residences which is also where you find the Spa and the gym. The gym is well equipped with all you need! In between the hotel and the residences are the restaurant and bar. The rooms are big with the art theme extending into the rooms. The rooms has both social and works areas to accommodate for all travellers, and a well stocked minibar. The restaurant is excellent and the breakfast is great, however if you fancy something else, everything is around the corner from exquisite restaurants to fast food. A great place to explore Toronto.
Good room, excellent location, friendly front desk reception
Restaurant and bar upstairs were difficult and unfriendly. It was a mission to be seated and get a beer at the bar upstairs and reception at restaurant downstairs were unfriendly
location was exceptional, staff were excellent
The Park Hyatt Toronto is an oasis in the Yorkville neighborhood of Toronto. The Yorkville area is a great location with wonderful restaurants and bars along with high end shopping outlets. Close to the Toronto metro and the Park Hyatt complimentary car service takes you within 4 or 5 KM of the hotel making going to the waterfront area very easy. The hotel is right across from the Royal Ontario Museum and a few blocks from the University of Toronto. The hotel is beautiful with well designed rooms and suites and an on site Stillwater Spa. A great rooftop Bar, the Writers Room is a must visit.
You will love the Park Hyatt either if on business or vacation. The entire staff at the hotel is outstanding and their Concierge team is excellent. Toronto is one of our favorite cities and the Park Hyatt Toronto makes it even more special.
It will be the highlight of your trip to Toronto
I received an email from the hotel before our arrival. Since I booked two rooms and was traveling with my child and parents, I requested to have the rooms close to each other for a more convenient family stay.
The team did a wonderful job arranging connecting rooms for us, which made our stay so much easier and more comfortable. They also prepared a lovely welcome dessert for us, which was such a thoughtful touch.
The front desk staff were also very welcoming and took the time to explain all the Guest of Honor (GOH) benefits during check-in. Throughout our stay, whenever I reached out through the messaging feature in the Hyatt app, the team always responded quickly and was very helpful.
Thank you so much for the amazing hospitality. We truly appreciate everything!
