L’accueil était excellent et les chambres super belles mais les lits sont trop mous. Il y avait aussi une odeur désagréable dans les couloirs qui s’est infiltrée en partie dans la chambre.
Very well kept property with beautiful surroundings. Enjoyed the views all around. Room was clean. No elevator so had to take luggage up the stairs.
Magnificent views from apartments
Property was situated along the highway and main street, and rooms were spacious enough for 3 travellers. There’s parking on the property and street parking is easy as well.
Everything is great except for the matresses. Tough on the back.
Very country side feel hotel. Staffs and services are very friendly. Breakfast selections are nice. I notice that there is no air condition unit in the room.
The location was great and the were really nice
Very central, clean and comfortable. Happy to recommend to anyone wanting a night or two in Franz Josef. Plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby.

We had to change our stay and could only get a Standard room on rebooking. The rooms are in an older portion, even though the room was spotless. The bed was the most uncomfortable that I ever slept in. The mattress was completely worn out and should have been sent to the dump probably ten years ago. I have slept in thousands of beds over the last 45 years and this was by far the worst. They should be ashamed to rent this room.
Reception area very good, but accommodation very disappointing. Once I saw the accommodation I knew what it was going to be like. The standard rooms are small especially if you have 2 suitcases. All felt very rundown the carpets were dirty in room and in corridors (smelt like they are using shack and vac to cover up smells). The curtains had mould on them and the shower was small and cramped, as was the bathroom. All in all very disappointing, and not worth the money - glad we were only there 2 nights.
We stayed for one night Feb 2025 mainly to visit the Franz Josef glacier. Room was comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities. Parking was easy. Restaurants, coffee shops and supermarket within walking distance but the village itself it quite small.

The room was comfortable but the temperature was quite warm. There was no air conditioning. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

A very good stay at the Scenic. Spacious, comfortable room with separste bedroom and sitting area, plus balcony. Very convenient location on the edge of town. Easy parking. Staff helpful. Very happy stay.
