A grand castle enters the 21st century
Pros:

I first came to Castel Pergine around... 20 years ago? It was magical then- a beautiful castle being lovingly restored, with an inclusive and fantastic restaurant. I never forgot it. And I’ve finally had a chance to return, only to discover that the original owners have recently retired, and the Castel and restaurant are now going forward as a newly-created foundation. I’m pleased to say- Castel Pergine remains spectacular. Superb setting, great views, excellent food, terrific staff, and... amazing art as well! I now hope to return again, only this time much sooner (note: being in the Alto Adige, it’s not open year-round, so be sure to confirm your desired booking dates). It will remain one of my favorite hotels, for too many reasons to list. Be aware that you’ll drive thru an original (and narrow) castle wall opening, and there are stairs. But the uniqueness of the hotel more than justifies any effort required.

Eine wahnsinns Erfahrung, eine echte Burg in wunderschöner Umgebung. Das Frühstück ist super, alles ist sauber und das Ambiente ist stimmig.
