Location
Food was great
Room was very hot even with AC on, called the front desk issue wasn’t resolved.
No smart TV
We loved our most recent stay at this hotel; it was convenient to the Engineer's Club for Opera Baltimore performances. The service was really good and our accomodation was spacious and well designed. Love Indigo's kitschy touches. We both enjoyed the restaurant in this hotel. Excellent drinks and really good eats with friendly service in a desirable setting. We will definitely return.
Having to pay for parking
Staff was location overall great experience! Will definitely be back when I’m in the city. Highly recommended.
The hotel was very clean , spacious and comfortable. The staff were nice and the lobby area was really nice. The room was very spacious, clean and beds were very comfortable. The best part was the breakfast in the morning, regular eggs, egg whites, toasts, juice, tea, coffee, fruits, pancake, muffins. Lots of choices and the service lady kept everything filled up. My only complaint was that when I came back from the casino which was only 3 minutes walk, upon arrival at the hotel I was unable to enter the hotel. Apparently our keys get deactivated once you enter the casino because of the security machines, which the hotel failed to inform us about. I waited by the lobby entrance for approximately 12 minutes in the cold trying to figure out how to get inside. There was no front desk agent. A young guy who was sitting in the lobby came and pressed a button that opened the front door and said that the lady was going to return shortly. This was after 12:30am on Monday Feb 16,2026. I went upstairs to my room and was not able to open the door for about 5 minutes, so I decided to return to the lobby. Still there was nobody there to assist, until 7 mins later. Upon her arrival to the front desk, at approximately 1:15am , in a stern voice this lady appeared , “ CAN I HELP YOU?” . I responded hi, how are you? My key doesn’t seem to be working, can you please check it for me. Her first question following was “ did you go to the casino” I said yes, that was the main question for coming to the hotel because there are no hotel rooms at the casino. She said well, that nice you enter the casino, the keycards automatically get deactivated because of the security machines inside. I said I wish some had mentioned that prior as this is would have made the situation better for myself and my friends to get enter the property and get into our rooms. She said “well, for future reference “ . That could have all been avoided if the communication was a little better regarding the deactivation process. She did not even offer any apologies.
At the end of the day, we enjoyed our stay. I would have given more stars if the communication was better.
Our service was perfect from valet to front desk to restaurant / bar. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The property was very clean and well cared for and the location was perfect for heading to CFG, Mount Vernon restaurants or nearby attractions.
Unfortunately our stay did not meet our expectations. Our room was blisteringly hot, meaning we ran the AC in February. The water pressure was non-existent in the shower. There were no amenities I usually find at higher-end hotels such as this including blankets or robes. That being said the bell man and maintenance worker were great offering help when the concierge was unknowledgeable of the area. The restaurant service was less adequate with items not being served and drinks being undrinkable.
I've stayed at the Hotel Indigo Baltimore Downtown a few times. While I would say none of my subsequent experiences beats my first stay pre-COVID-19, overall I still find it a good place to stay in Baltimore. Over the years, there are a couple of familiar faces that stick around, suggesting the hotel is good at staff retention.
There are some issues though. The property is dated. It's not easy to close all the blinds at once. There isn't a coat hook on the back of the bathroom door. Water temperature and pressure fluctuate too much. Housekeeping can also do a better job, including not leaving cleaning cloths behind in the room and not knocking on the door at 9am. I asked for a late check-out, but as a Diamond Élite member, they only extended it to 12pm for me.
On the plus side, the pillows are great, the breakfast food is great, and the check-in receptionists are nice. There's also The Walters Art Museum, free admission, just 2 blocks away.
I had a phenomenal stay at Indigo. Parking was easy, the staff was SO FRIENDLY, and the room was cozy and decorated beautifully.
This hotel is adorable and located in an old building. Parking was easy, reasonably priced, and right across the street. Every member of the staff acknowledged my presence and were super helpful. The room was spacious with a bedroom area, large bathroom, and a separate sitting area. The bed was comfortable and the shower was nice. The room showed a little wear but was overall in good shape. Being in a city there was traffic noise, but that’s to be expected. I ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant. The bacon could have been a little crispier (personal preference) and the eggs were a little greasy— but overall it was a good meal. My only complaint is that the two TVs in my room weren’t smart TVs. Bring an iPad or laptop if you want to catch up on your shows.
We had a lovely stay for a friend’s wedding. All of the staff were friendly & helpful, the room and view were comfortable & and interesting, and the bed was so comfortable.
The staff was very helpful and wonderful!!
