Inner city suburban stay in Melbourne
Pros:

The location right on the No 11 tram is the best thing about this hotel. The pillows and bed were very comfortable.

Cons:

No milk for tea; scratchy thin towels. No convenience store nearby.

Pros:

The location was great. It was each to come back into the hotel after hours.

Cons:

The towels weren't on the bed for both of us. Had to search for the second towel. There was also a stain on one of the towels but otherwise everything else was clean

Unfortunately poor service and apartment not up to standard.

The location is good. Central Fitzroy easy access to everything by trams

Cons:

The oven in the apartment was broken. When brought to the attention of the reception I was told to bring it up with the manager. They could not fix the oven I requested a partial refund due to the extra costs of not being able to cook during our stay. Told by manager he couldn’t make those decisions need to raise with booking.com to raise with senior management. So I followed that process and talked to the manager again who said that they would try to have it approved by checkout. Booking.com ask for evidence which I submit a photo of the sign on the oven saying it’s out of order. Checkout comes manager says that there’s a time difference in Queensland which is where senior management are based and that he can’t contact them until after checkout but will follow up. I have continued to follow up and have booking.com follow up on my behalf and still no response. Poor experience, apartment was a good size but not vacumned regularly as there was a build up of dust. Kitchen not well stocked had to request a cork screw or a bottle of wine and the reception had to scramble to look all over the hotel to get it. For the price I do not think that service and apartment are up to standard and I hope the hotel can learn from my feedback for future interactions with guests.

Some trade offs but passes the bar.
Pros:

20min walk to most places, so it's a good location. The staff were great very warm, friendly and accommodating, no stress at all. The property is older and reception dining/cafe looks up to standard, the pool and outer area also. Small community feeling.

Cons:

The rooms need an upgrade, the size of the room (kitchenette) was a trade off for the price/older style room.

The noise level was not great people banging on things in the courtyard and later a person clearly drunk was speaking loudly. Neither lasted long. After that it was ok.

Great location, staff and apartment. Maybe a little dated but will definitely be back.
Pros:

What a find! Great location, huge apartment, parking on site, tasty breakfast, brilliant staff. Easy walk to city via Parliament Gardens/Coles Fountain. Great pubs/coffee shops near by. We didn’t use the pool but looked very inviting. Such good value.
