Pros:

Room was large with simple kitchenette facilities so you can make a hot drink, microwave, make toast.
Outside pool was great, very clean and tidy. Bbq available there too.
Staff lovely.
Location out of town but easy walk/bus ride.
Quieter area as out of town

Cons:

Bathroom very dated, functional but could do with a refurb. Air con unit didn't work well.
On a hill, would not suit those with mobility issues unless driving.

Great price. Exceeded expectations.
Pros:

Room was clean and easily accessible. Got a slightly earlier check in and a room upgrade. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower water pressure was the best I have ever experienced, the pool was great with views across the town, clean with good seating with barbecue area. Jess was exceptional, noting was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. The slushes and coffee in the reception was a nice touch on a hot day. The location was quiet on an evening and about a 15 minute walk to the esplanade and botanic garden. This hotel is under new management and they are doing a fantastic job.

Cons:

Perhaps in need of a refresh of decoration.
