STAFF GREAT BREAKFAST GOOD EASY ACCESS TO TOURIST SPOTS.
FIRE ALAM AT 10.30 PM
Location was great, walking distance to shopping and the city. The beds were comfy, lots of choices for breakfast. Staff were really friendly.
Large room, heritage feel in hotel
Room had air conditioning units outside window, perspex ‘double glazing’ didn’t stop noise. Almost double the price if you don’t pre pay parking at the property. No fan in bathroom. Although a large room, only one armchair.
The grounds and the staff were lovely
Maintenance of rooms
Beautiful old building and friendly staff
Good location and great to have secured off street parking with no height limit.
Poorly cleaned room - debris on the floor, no bin liners (so bins were dirty) and general dirt on most surfaces. Cracked windows and creaky floor boards. Noise from an event being held there kept me awake until - 3am. Couldn’t use the courtyard area due to the function. We checked out a night early.
Close to cbd
Old and dated with uncomfortable beds
Breakfast was good.
Location was hgood for my.purpose.
Room size was way too small.
Meals in bistro were average.
No other cafes or restaurants close by.
Staff good
Place is run down needs a face lift
Friendly check in staff. Decent rooms, nice breakfast. Good overall location.
A little musty, probably the old carpets .
The Mercure was an excellent place to stay. Cafes and bars just down the road. We were also very close to the war memorial and other sites.

Great location, close to CBD
Lockable storage for bikes
Comfortable
Lovely grounds
Very poor GYM.
Staff were helpful in taking me to my room.
I had a fall in the bathroom. The floor of the bathroom and inside the shower were the same colour and I did not anticipate the drop of the floor in the shower as I had taken my glasses off. There should be a sign "watch your step" or something warning of the drop. Dining room needs updating.
