Maryna makes this place feel like a home away from home. I booked the accommodation for my cousin as a gift & she went well above & beyond!!🙏⭐️
I would highly recommend staying here. A place where trust, integrity & respect are values they live by.
Thank you so much Cape Capsules, I’m definitely going to visit when I come in August!

Cape Capsules in Muizenberg is a true home away from home. Maryna and Mike are incredibly warm, caring, and hospitable hosts, and you can feel the love they’ve put into every detail of the space.
The capsules are clean, spacious, and beautifully designed. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like the indoor foot shower after beach walks and the no-shoe policy, which keeps everything fresh and peaceful.
The location is perfect for morning beach walks, and the balcony offers stunning sunrises and sunsets. Breakfast was simple and delicious — just what you need to start the day — and the honesty bar is a great added convenience.
What made my stay truly special were the connections I made. I left not only relaxed, but with meaningful friendships and unforgettable experiences.
Highly recommended!
A very friendly, warm, and welcoming place that truly feels like home. I loved that you can encapsulate yourself in your own little private room while still enjoying the cozy, homely atmosphere with some incredible people staying here.
Maryna, the owner, is incredibly hospitable and makes you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. I also chose the bed-and-breakfast option, and the breakfast was wonderful — fresh, tasty, and a great start to the day.
This is a fantastic place to stay in Muizenberg Cape Town, and I couldn’t recommend Cape Capsules enough. I would happily stay here again. 👍
The area is very pretty
The guy who welcomed me, was very friendly🤗
Sharing room with other gender☹️
It was very quiet since there were very few guests.
The Hostel is plastered with rules. They make you pay for everything, including forgetting to take out the power socket for the toaster. This gives an extremely unwelcoming feeling. Plus they make you pay a "deposit" of 500 ZAR for a locker key and charge you an extra cleaning fee of 80 ZAR. Since they made us pay that with Yoko, they claim to be entitled to surcharge 12% on top of that. In the end we had hat to pay 486 ZAR (~26€) per person for one night instead of 346 ZAR (~18,50€), which was the original offer on booking.com. We've never come across a Hostel that conducted its business this way and feel like being scammed.
The people were solid, owner is super cool and down to earth, breakfast was very relaxed and accommodating.
Laundry was cheap.
Loads of stuff in the kitchen to use.
Great facilities to relax upstairs, best nap ever
That i had to check out and couldn't stay longer
Very good
Relaxed feel
Initial thoughts but walk across the road and the beach and ocean await and town is 5 mins away walk
No breakfast, fairly dodgy and dangerous location - far from any shops - crime-ridden
The owner Maryna was incredibly rude to all the guests, over-charged for every add-on, did not stock the bar over New Year, but charged R100 corkage, so we all went dry and it was a bit of a disappointment.
I was asked to leave for moving to a lower bunk in a dorm because I was ill and was twice refused an 'upgrade' to move to a lower bunk, even though, for the week i stayed, all the lower bunks and the entire hostel, remained empty but for 3 or 4 other guests. Inexplicable.
Coffee and biscuits are old and too expensive. Bed and pillows cause back ace and neck ace. Guests are drunk as facility has a self help bar. Felt very unsafe around drunk men
Loop afstand van kite spot
Great stay great staff great pool
