Wow. This is possibly the worst hotel I have ever stayed at that I booked through Expedia. 1/5 stars is generous except for the fact that the place looks beautiful.
No hot water, worst continental breakfast ever (rock hard cold toast, fruit past its prime, gross cookies fit for a dog, and believe it if you can Nestle Instant Coffee with Coffee Mate….), dogs running all over the place barking at guests, no restaurant, no bar, no tv, almost electrocuted by faulty outlet, no air conditioning, no nearby restaurants, maids did not clean or room or even ask if we wanted clean towels, and it was expensive. Drive by and ask for a tour but don’t stay unless you like paying 5 star prices for a 0.5 star accommodation. I want a refund.
Lovely place for a nice quiet and relaxing dtay
The property is very peaceful. Historic place well maintained.
Absolutely gorgeous, peaceful, and enchanting. The accommodations are very comfortable and every person went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Gourmet food every day, so so delicious. It was the perfect place to rest, relax and enjoy the countryside. We enjoyed that there was no television anywhere, there are so many things to see and lovely people to talk to. We are learning Spanish and were grateful that everyone was understanding and patient as we needed to resort to Google translate at times. A great retreat to escape to after a day of exploring the nearby towns, including Tequila, going on hikes, or visiting tequila distilleries. The grounds of this historic hotel were truly beautiful - full of birds, beautiful trees and plants, and amazing fountains. Both the building and the grounds are meticulously curated and cared for. We would love to return some day to the friendly faces and peace of this fantastic place.
The hacienda is so beautiful and the service impeccable. And dinner was excellent. Reserve your dinner ahead.
