Hotel ZaZa Austin

We are Austin locals and stayed overnight at Hotel ZaZa on New Years Eve. Our experience was great in every way. When I booked online they suggested I join their “Zip” loyalty program, and I’m so glad I did, because upon our arrival we were informed we were receiving a free upgrade to one of their Magnificent Seven suites. It was wonderful! Loved the eclectic Hill Country vibe throughout the hotel. All the staff were outstanding—friendly and efficient—from the valet and doormen to the front desk and restaurant staff. We arrived too early to check in (their standard check out time is *noon*, we arrived at 11), so we hopped across the street to the Lavaca Street Bar (which I also highly recommend) until we received a call that our room was ready; well before the usual check in time. We had dinner and breakfast at their restaurant, Group Therapy, which was equally wonderful, and very buzzy for the coming New Year. Highly recommend Hotel ZaZa—we look forward to staying at their sister properties in Dallas or Houston soon!

My best friend and I had a staycation for two nights here and they truly made it magical. The staff were amazing! The beds were so comfortable. View from balcony was top notch. Decor was the best. I would definitely staff there again.

Loved the interior design and showers. The shuttle they have to take you within three miles of the hotel is wonderful too. They have an air filter in the rooms that you can choose to turn on. It’s a pleasant sound and feature.

I celebrated my sister’s 50th birthday for brunch. We had an amazing time. The tomatotinis are absokutelly delicious!! We had the beat salad as a shareable and the lamb lollipops are so good!! I had the avocado stack with has brown and it was delicious! Patricia was our waitress and she was great!! Definitely coming back! The Christmas decoration as are a big plus too!

The Hotel ZaZa is a boutique hotel in a good location in downtown Austin. One of its best features is a free shuttle service within a 1-2 mile radius of the hotel. This proved to be extremely helpful as we didn't rent a car and public transport wasn't a great option. The entire valet team were extremely accommodating and service was speedy - you just had to call the valet and someone would drop you or pick you up. This included a drop off/pickup near the stadium for a Texas Longhorns game. I do wish the hotel had more dining options (there was one near the pool) but this proved to be a minor detraction since there were several restaurants within walking distance of the Hotel ZaZa. In all, this boutique property offered well appointed rooms (not the usual hotel fare) with friendly staff and a good overall location. Coupled with a great valet team it proved to be a good choice in downtown Austin.

Zaza Austin is the best hotel in the country ! Wonderful service , amazingly comfortable rooms and location is a walk away from all the great restaurants and hot spots !

Aaliyah was fantastic and provided exceptional service throughout checkin. Highly recommend this hotel based on their incredible staff.

We have been travelling around the USA for 4 weeks and this was the best hotel we have stayed in, including some that were double the price.

What stands out is the customer service, kindness and approachability of the staff that is clearly engrained in their culture. From the moment we arrived, apologetically but tired post a long flight, Aaliyah got us checked in early and provided us with details on the amenities and her must do list in Austin which we really appreciated. We requested a kettle for a tea at night - it was immediately brought to the room. Overnight I needed ibuprofen and realised the packet I brought was expired - we asked the front desk and they were happy to provide it. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

The room was HUGE - and we actually paid for the smallest, cheapest room. The bathroom was also huge with amazing water pressure in the shower. The climate control in the room was perfection and allowed a peaceful and comfortable night sleep. The soft amenities such as towels, pillows and bedding weee luxurious and felt super expensive.

We used the gym and the pool and both were fantastic.

The location was great in downtown and we easily walked everywhere.

I would implore anyone looking to come to Austin to stay at this hotel. Best sleep I’ve had!!

Hipster hotel, without the hipster attitude. Excellent staff with an exceptional focus on service. The service had a personal touch that made the stay feel like we were amongst friends. I'd highly recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a reasonable central location with a uniquely Texas brand of luxury.
