Nice hotel good location. C
Pros:

Good location- rooms were nice. Coffee and tea station was nice.

Cons:

Still under construction. Parking tough- parked in garage up the street- didn’t realize the 1x we parked on bottom level- it was not part of garage and had our tire chained- had to pay $140 parking garage not marked that you can’t park in lower level. 7-8 cars had same issue. Not good! Hotel should let customers know this.

Best Hotel in Austin for You and Your Dog
Pros:

First time staying at ZaZa, but a long time resident at Gables Republic Square in its adjoined building. Everyday we would stop by the lobby with my Therapy Dog Muffins and visit the staff.

As we are on our way out of Austin, Jacob convinced us to stay at ZaZa as I wrapped up my household good move. Originally, we were thinking Proper since Muffins is minor celebrity around Seaholm, Republic Square, and Downtown. However, Jacob beat them to the punch.

Amenities and decor are awesome. Group Therapy food and drink have never failed me the past 4 years. ZaSpa is great for relaxing massage and treatment, but I don't recommend deep tissue, trigger, or release.

Horrible valet service
Pros:

I went to a meeting with around 200 in attendance, of course the only parking offered is valet. After the meeting the hotel had 1 person charging all 200 guest, 1 at a time. It took over an hour to leave. When my car arrived there was a fresh stain on my drivers seat. I only had 3800 miles on the car so I know it was left by valet. I can clean it, the worst was that they turned on everything in the car, rear ac, driver assistance and other items that I have never used. This was a horrible experience from a hotel chain that is considered 5*. I will never use their valet service again

Relaxing, Romantic Weekend the Zaza Way
Pros:

Zaza was the destination for an anniversary weekend. Zaza made the weekend special—central location, many dining and bars within walking distance, beautiful room, and excellent/friendly service from all staff. Highly recommend. The hotels is Houston and Dallas are wonderful.

Ignore the art, It is just a (good) gym
Pros:

Well…what to make of this?

The gym is an EXPERIENCE, for sure. Just that little guy in the center there, the attempt to cleverly brand the gym “The Barbell Club” (see door from photo, in reverse).

Honestly, for me, those efforts were unnecessary and kind of silly.

Gym is well-equipped with dumbbells, cables and cardio.

There are some blocks and kettlebells for HIIT workouts. It is all well laid out so there is plenty of space.

The equipment - benches, for example - were all top quality and in great condition.

The gym is right next to the rooftop pool and restaurant/bar.

All in all, really good setup. Would make for a great weekend stay.

First floor is presently under some pretty heavy construction, so be aware.
