Cocotal Inn and Cabanas

The property was very nice. It was clean. Ben the manager was great.

Un séjour merveilleux grâce a une équipe fantastique. Nous avons dû changer nos dates de voyages en dernière minute et l’hôtel a été très arrangeant. Par ailleurs, le lieu est magnifique avec un accès à la mer et une pisicine. Je recommande cependant de louer un cart pour visiter les alentours.

The Manager, Ben, really made our stay! He is the best! Between making sure someone was there to get us at the water taxi on arrival, to helping us organize any excursion (and hunting one down if all were full), to getting us to the drop off point - even at 5am. He went above and beyond! He makes sure you get to a supermarket for your kitchen. So absolutely nice and accommodating. At one point he even cut open a few coconuts that came down on the property for us to drink and eat.
Our accommodations were spacious and clean. Shower pressure and consistent water temperature - excellent! The area is quiet and accessible to town- they have bikes to borrow. Walkers- beach is accessible for a couple of miles to the left and right of the resort. Pool is clean and furniture has cushions. Ben was quick to respond on the WhatsApp and so helpful! Fantastic stay!

The location, the dock was beautiful, it felt private and local, plenty of food and bars in close proximity

Ben, the manager was fantastic, the resort was spotless and in a great spot on the Island.. close to everything ( with a golf cart) but far enough away to be tranquil.

We got the whole resort to ourselves due to it being the off/rainy season. Very private area with no loud noises or golf carts. Very nicely kept pool and grounds. Overall it was a great stay

So many seating options to enjoy and lounge in for the day. Amazing views and peaceful atmosphere.

We rented B2 (Beach front casita). Nice front porch to sit and look at the beach. The room was well equipped though a little heavier comforter (or blanket) would have been nice (the AC worked well!). The pool was clean and the whole place was relaxing. We rented a golf cart through the place the hotel had recommended and it was delivered and picked up at the hotel - very easy.

Not in control of the hotel, but the sargassum was horrible. It was all stacked on the beach (high winds had been going for several days) and it just smelled so bad.

Location was perfect. Walked to restaurants but a quick drive or bike in to town for more variety. It was very quiet and we loved having a beachfront cabana.

Awesome! We chose Cocotal because it was outside the busy, noisy city of San Pedro, but close enough to walk, golf cart or cycle into town. We also liked the fact that they offer free transfers to and from the airport. Ben met us when we checked in and went over everything in detail. We booked a beachfront casita, which was roomy and quiet. Cocotal offers free bicycles with a lock if you want to ride into town and kayaks if you want to cruise around offshore. Ben also helped us book a snorkeling trip to Hol Chan. The room was super clean and did not smell damp. With all the heat and humidity, this can be a problem. The pool was very nice (not too hot, so it felt refreshing to jump in). There are plenty of chairs and lounge chairs in the pool area, on our porch, and right next to the water with plenty of shade to hide from the hot sun. After we checked out and were heading for the airport, Ben called our driver to tell us we had left our binoculars in our casita. Our flight was due to leave in 30 minutes, but Ben said he could make it in time to bring the binoculars, and he did! We would definitely come back here if we ever return to Ambergris Caye.

The is a nice, quiet, clean and well located property. Well stocked cabana. Every other guest we talked to loved the place and were
return guests.

We loved the location as it was away from the hustle of San Pedro but close to everything. Ben was the best host as he helped with everything. So accommodating and friendly. We booked our golf cart through him and they delivered it to us. Ben also scheduled a pick up and drop off from the water taxi (or airline) which was seamless.

The staff is excellent. Property close to amenities.

The property is clean and maintained very well. The staff is super friendly and will help you with whatever you need. They also have bikes (medium frames) and kayaks for you to use at no charge. The also pick you up from the ferry terminal and take you to the grocery store on the way to the property! It was a great touch!

We stayed at the cabana closest to the beach and it was amazing! There was plenty of room, the furniture was nice, AC worked great, and all kitchen appliance/dish ware was really good. We loved having coffee on the patio every morning to start the day.
