Todo
I have stayed at this BW many times over the last year and a half. It is a good deal for the price. Bed is very nice and rooms are always clean. Location works for me. Stay at this location because of the price also. Staff has always been very good.
Phones are not connected to anything to make a call. Elevators work but are still scary. Sometimes the TV remote and air don't aways work, or partially work.
The hotel it’s self is not clean and very out dated. Ice machine was broke , elevator wasn’t working swimming pool was cloudy . The first room we were in the the air conditioning didn’t work . So we were moved to another room . When we got into the next room the toilet would flush . So we were moved again . The shits were dirty . We asked twice for maintenance to clean our room and was told yes at first .the was told they only clean certain rooms on certain days .
Simple, comfortable, and decent WiFi
Was not clean, made an order for room service and got 2 items, never again. Didn’t even get the refund for a 2L drink they forgot. Just eat out, everything else was good.
I liked the close proximity to everything
The proximity to University of Richmond and multiple restaurants in the area to choose from
No room service and the room could have been cleaner
The price was decent and it’s about 10 minutes from University of Richmond
The floors in hallways and rooms were filthy. I spilled a small amount of water on the floor and when I went to wipe it up with a towel the towel was black. No wash clothes in the bathroom and in instead of body wash there was hand soap. Also no housekeeping and when I asked 2x for housekeeping to make beds and replace towels I was told that “room service” needs to be requested. Also there is MAJOR construction on the other side of the pool so I got sit by the pool and stare at an active construction
Need breakfast stuff for diabetics
Toilet was dirty,
Decent breakfast.
The elevator was very slow. One elevator was out of order
Its location in proximity to everything was great. Beds were comfortable enough
The pillows were small.and not enough for four people to sleep comfortably. At breakfast i went to grab a chair to pull to a table so that all of my family could sit together and not use multiple tables. The woman in the brekfast room started saying no and shaking her finger at me but there was a family at the table.right next to us who had done this without being scolded. As we we were leaving i noticed at least one other table with the same situation so i dont know why i was singled out for this. Upon checking in to our room. An attendant opened the door and entered without knocking.
I want to alert others about charges and about a specific employee named Kia. Be sure you check your charges. I was charged $40 by Kia that she wasn't supposed to charge. I'm a Diamond Select Elite member. I paid in full using points. When a member pays with points, everything is covered, including all taxes. Well, when it was time to check-out, Kia charged me $40.00. My husband was the one who checked me out. He got the receipt and brought it to me. I was in the car. When I saw the charge, I commented, "Didn't you see that they charged $40.00?" He replied that he saw it and asked Kia about it, and she said that it was taxes and when he questioned $40.00 in taxes? Kia said that taxes there were very high. I then went to the front desk to make her correct the mistake, but she wasn't there. It was another clerk named Ali. I explained the situation to Ali, and he said that Kia wasn't supposed to charge anything and that he reversed the charges. Later on, I contacted the general manager, who verified that the charges had been reversed. Kia lies about everything. She lied about why a shuttle van from a different hotel chain was blocking the guest check-in area, she lied about why she entered the credit card number on the computer system, she lied about the reason she charged $40. I suggested to the general manager to retrain her or just remove her from the front desk.
I stayed there multiple times back in 2023 and 2024 when there were different lovely employees and I never had any problems. All employees by then were really nice, friendly, and honest, including the former general manager, Mr. Haroon Khagga. I'm under the impression that they are not working there now, so I had to deal with Kia.
