Komfortables Familienwochenende in gediegener Umgebung
Pros:

Die Lage direkt am Domplatz, Aussicht über Meißen vom Hotelrestaurant. Praktisch: Panoramaaufzug vom Parkhaus im Tal (mit Ladestation für eAuto) endet direkt vor dem Hoteleingang, darauf hatte uns das Hotel vor Anreise extra hingewiesen.

Tolles Hotel
Pros:

Die Lage ist für einen Aufenthalt in Meissen wirklich ausgezeichnet. Direkt am Dom. Zum Frühstück hat man einen tollen Ausblick über die Altstadt. Die Mitarbeiterinnen waren alle total zuvorkommend. Ob am Empfang oder in der Gastro. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und wirklich schön. Die Betten bequem und gemütlich.

Cons:

Ich habe keine Beanstandungen.

Die Zimmer sind doch schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, die Bäder neu und super ausgestattet.
Frühstück ist lecker, aber eher Standard

Cons:

Leider muß man aber anmerken, wie man auf die Idee kommt, dass man zum Bad eine Glas Tür einsetzt, die nur teilweise Blickdicht ist und dahinter das WC setzt ist für uns absolut unverständlich...da sollte man doch mal drüber nachdenken...

Fabulous location high up overlooking the town next to the castle and cathedral
Pros:

Fantastic location as high as you can get in Meissen, next to the castle and cathedral with a lovely terrace overlooking the town. Clean, comfortable room with a good shower. Glass of Sekt and chocolates on arrival and a bag of biscuits at the end. Nice, friendly touches. The views really couldn’t be better.

Cons:

Difficult to find because the sign for the hotel is tiny and overshadowed by the name of the restaurant, so you walk right past it. Also, there needs to be clearer signposting on the way up the hill. A warning … it is a steep cobbled hill and therefore tricky to walk up with suitcases. There is a bus stop outside the hotel but they only come by once an hour, and only after 10am. So while the views are lovely it is not suitable for people who aren’t fit. Also, a small point, but the music in the breakfast room was completely inappropriate - we had the radio on with endless chatter and clubby-type music - this was almost certainly aimed more at the staff than the clientele, which was entirely over 60s/in their 70s. It’s a pity as is a nice breakfast room, also with great views.
