Well located and staff friendly and helpful
Pros:

Overall it was a good stay and well located to the key places I needed to get to (and would’ve been for shops and restaurants if we weren’t in a lockdown at the time). The staff were extra supportive and helpful.
My only complaint is that the couch fabric smelt of cigarettes which really was t pleasant.

Reasonably priced Thao Dien hotel
Pros:

Well appointed self contained apartment with basic kitchen and laundry facilities. Good location for access to Thao Dien. The neighbouring construction company can be a bit of a distraction. Loading heavy equipment onto an articulated lorry at midnight on a weekday only 20 metres from your room is not ideal.

Pros:

This property was perfectly located for me since I wanted to be in Thao Dien. I liked the neighborhood, liked the proximity to both a Vietnamese shopping street and a more westernized district with upscale grocery stores and restaurants. My apartment was comfortable and clean and had all the basic kitchen supplies I needed except coffee mugs! Not a cultural priority, I guess. I had a washing machine in my apartment, which was great. I enjoyed my stay there. The staff were friendly, no one spoke English fluently but we got by. There is a boxing gym on the corner and you can watch people box at night from the bigger bedroom.
