Great vibe to the hotel!
Pros:

It’s an attractive boutique hotel with large room and bathroom. Nice bar and restaurant. Didn’t use the gym but good to have. Downtown, central location.

Cons:

Our biggest issue was with the person who stomped across the floor above us from 11 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Since this is an older property without wall-to-wall carpeting, it’s the risk you run staying here — unless you stay on the top floor which we will ask for next time.

I loved this hotel and would definitely return. The decor is beautiful.
Pros:

The room was amazing...clean, large, well appointed, - everything you could want. Skip the Tim's across the street and try the coffee shop in the same building as the hotel. Amazing service and pastries. My only concern with the room was that I could not get the thermostat to change from HEAT to COOL at night. I should have called down and had someone check it out.

Cons:

The parking is great - safe, clean, close but they need to explain it a bit better. I misunderstood how long I could park there and then could not get out of the parkade. Comedy of errors - my misunderstanding and no answer at the call button.

Noise and light some of which could be improved with some small adjustments. The
Pros:

The bed was comfortable. The location was central. Staff were nice. Check in was smooth.

Cons:

There was a lot of street noise in our first room. Courtyard rooms are quieter but there was too much light seeping in from the courtyard lamps and various blue light sources in the room.

Just okay.
Pros:

Location is great. The staff was wonderful! The rooms are quite spacious.

Cons:

Upon immediate inspection, I noticed that the toilet was not clean. The lower half of the toilet bowl on the outside had dried poop on it. I always clean the toilet, sink, and shower in any hotel. I did not notify staff of the unclean toilet, because I arrived a little late and had to turn my attention to the reason I was visiting in the first place. Additionally, when booking a room do not book a street view. The street is very loud throughout the night.

Very nice hotel with great hospitality.
Pros:

The staff were extremely friendly & helpful.

Cons:

The rooms seemed a little smaller than we expected. Our room with the king bed was great but our travelling companions Queen room seemed a bit tight. Unfortunately they weren’t able to book another king room.

A great place with loads of character and warmth
Pros:

Excellent location! We were there for a family wedding and every place was within a few blocks. Also lots of funky vintage shops and great eateries, and the local farmer’s market was a wonderful Saturday morning excursion. The room was very comfortable with nice touches (cushy bathrobes, coffee) and so quiet I wondered if there were any other guests on the floor! Staff were very friendly, accommodating and genuinely interested in us having an optimal stay. Shoutout to the amazing Reception desk staff: Israel, Jared and Jelina, all wonderful people! Also the very kind gentleman who gave me some extra coffee pods late Saturday night!
We also loved the ambiance and history, especially learning about Al Capone and the Rum Runners.
We will definitely be returning to the Walper!

Cons:

Nothing, it exceeded our expectations! (Did wish the Breakfast menu had pancakes, but still found tasty options)
