Dinner was excellent, enjoyed the breakfast
Pros:

The building was very pretty, lovely staff, breakfast was very good. Dinner was excellent. Beautiful walking trail by the creek we enjoyed with the fresh fallen snow.

Cons:

The shower pressure was pretty bad and we did find the bed a little hard. But the room was clean.

Cozy yet dated hotel - great for a road trip pit stop
Pros:

Long pending review from April 2025, when I spent a weekend at Elm Hurst Inn & Spa in Ingersoll with my family and it was a mixed but memorable experience. The setting is charming — the historic Victorian-style property and beautifully manicured grounds immediately create a peaceful, country-escape vibe that was perfect for a short break. Our room was comfortable and spacious, though not overly modern and quite dated. The heater was noisy and the window was directly on the lawn behind where people were roaming around. The restaurant dining was a highlight — excellent food and attentive service made for some truly enjoyable meals, esp. breakfasts.

If you’re looking for a cozy getaway with a mix of relaxation and good food, Elm Hurst is a lovely choice.

Great short getaway in small-town Ontario!
Pros:

This hotel is located in a beautiful area near Ingersoll, Ontario. It was just a short drive to visit the cheese museum and downtown. The grounds are beautiful with a short, easy nature trail to explore the grounds. The staff were attentive and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Perfect destination for a weekend treat.
Pros:

Perfect location for a unique destination! We loved the historical building, its charm and comfort. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was absolutely delicious.

Very convenient! Staff extremely helpful. Breakfast was included and it was very good.

Cons:

I felt for that it was a bit pricey. 2 rooms lunch dinner and spa service was a lot. A bundle package should be offered.i could have gone on an all inclusive for what I payed for one night.

It was very pleasant. I have eaten at the restaurant several times. I enjoyed my stay!
Pros:

The breakfast was excellent. However, if I had known there was an omelette station, I would have had that instead of scrambled eggs. The coffee was delicious.

Cons:

There could have been a grab bar in the shower. As a senior, I am very dependent on these devices for my safety. I would also appreciate a second comfortable chair in the room so no one has to always sit on the bed.

Pros:

I stayed one night at the Elm Hurst Inn & Spa in Ingersoll with my wife to celebrate her birthday.

The staff was extremely attentive and welcoming. The staff also left a happy birthday card for my wife in our room, which was a very kind gesture. Also, the atmosphere of the hotel is very peaceful and relaxing. It’s the perfect place to disconnect and rest.

Breakfast was another highlight of my stay. The quality of the food was excellent, fresh, and well prepared.

Cons:

I booked the King Room with Jacuzzi specifically to enjoy the jacuzzi, as this was the main reason for my reservation. While the jacuzzi itself was enjoyable, we noticed dirt when we turned it on for the first time, which gave the impression that it had not been properly cleaned beforehand. This was disappointing and affected the experience.

We also missed having basic jacuzzi accessories available, such as bath products to create foam or enhance the experience. Even if these items were available for purchase, it would have been a nice option to offer to guests.

Another disappointment was the bed. The mattress felt quite old and uneven, with one side noticeably higher than the other. In addition, any movement on one side caused the entire bed to shake, which suggests the mattress does not have independent pocket springs. This significantly impacted our comfort and quality of sleep.

Overall, while the hotel has positive aspects, these issues prevented our stay from meeting our expectations, especially considering the room category we chose.
