Perfect stay for a short break!
Pros:

All the staff were so friendly, the rooms were a lovely size and lovely and modern. Free parking and excellent facilities greeted with a welcome letter and some goodies.

Lovely hotel with loads of potential
Pros:

Lovely location in a town with so much to do. The hotel has loads of character and the staff were all lovely. We had one evening meal of the smaller meal menu, 2 courses for £20. Exceptional value, definitely not small. We had a superior room and the bed was larger and very comfortable. Lovely big bath with loads of hot water.

Cons:

Initial glance around the room was good, however it is tired. Metal window frames covered in rust, paint going off in large chunks in many areas. Bathroom floor come away from the bath panel, which needs repainting. Curtains need replacing or at least rehanging. A shame as a handyman with an afternoon would probably get this almost completely sorted

Cons:

Breakfast was disappointing. We have stayed here several times and breakfasts have always been good but not this time. Advertised as cooked to order but it was not. The bacon was chewey the mushroom like rubber and the tomato was not coked at all, the sausage was dry and the scrambled egg was lovely.
