The proximity outweighs the issues.
Pros:

The room was large and smelled neutral, which was very nice. The proximity to Texas Motor Speedway was acceptional. There are multiple restaurants easily accessible as well. They also had a waffle maker for breakfast.

Cons:

The bathroom was the problem area, the door did not want to fully shut - the handle wouldn't latch. The shower was ok overall, but there was visible mold on some of the caulking. Our bathroom had a large crack in the floor, the grout had started to come up and the toilet seemed to be far from level due to the crack issue.
There were normal continental breakfast options, but the food was always cold, even if they had just brought out a new tray of eggs, sausage, potatoes, etc. Not sure what was up with that. And very minor, but important gripe for me was the coffee was weak bean water.

Pros:

Location was ideal for our needs during the trip, and lots of restaurants nearby for easy and convenient dinners. Included breakfast was nice. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Cons:

Our room didn't get cleaned for multiple days, despite not having the "do not disturb" on the door. We asked for more towels once and they didn't have any to offer (the laundry was still running, perhaps?). The hotel side access door which required a card key to access didn't actually work, and this would've been the most convenient door for us.

Other than the gnats and the random charge upon arrival, Everythjng else was good. They should really update the system
Pros:

The property was close by to where we needed to be, we weren’t too far from anything at all.

Cons:

The staff surprise you with a $100 deposit ON TOP of whatever you’re paying to “rent” the rooms for a few nights, we had warm water, Not HOT water only warm and it didn’t change. We had a gnat infested sink the whole time we were there.

This was an excellent value to me.
Pros:

The staff was exceptional. The room was nice and clean and the bed and pillows were so comfortable.

Cons:

Breakfast was the typical hotel breakfast but it was ok. Like most hotels they do require a deposit of $100 but the hotel before this one charged even more.
But, as usual, I got it back the next morning.
Also, the location. It’s near Texas Motor Speedway so of course the traffic is a bit much. But that’s to be expected

Location was good for the purpose of our stay in Roanoke.

Cons:

Check-in was not simple. There was confusion among us using booking.com to reserve our room. The staff wanted to take a picture of our credit card information. We had to switch rooms due to blood (we think) being on our sheets when we got ready for bed. It was "hidden" under one of the pillows. Staff did come up to the room to look and let us move rooms. Breakfast was not good. The gravy looked and tasted like water as well as the eggs. The waffle mix was very thin (although the waffle did turn out ok). The juice (apple & orange) both tasted funky. Housekeeping came to clean our room while we were out and took the dirty towels and washcloths but did not replace what they took, leaving us short and no towel for the floor by the shower. Overall, disappointed.

It was decent.
Pros:

I liked that there makeup wipes in the bathroom.

Cons:

I didnt like the cleanliness of the shower. There were hairs from previous guests waiting for me in there.

Pros:

Room is clean. I’ve stayed here before and the room I got one the second floor was way nicer than the one I stayed in on the 3rd floor. There was a strong smell on the 3rd floor that wasn’t necessarily pleasant but Overall good stay.
