Pros:

Very spacious apartment with separate living, kitchen and bedroom. Also has 2 bathrooms (1 was a cloakroom). Bedroom had a view of the east river🙂 Free coffee in reception in the mornings and a free laundry room. Local area was not busy and has 24hr delis etc and bus stops right outside to go across town (M50) or up/down town (M15). Nearest subway is 3 blocks. 5th ave/Broadway is a 15min walk. Overall really good value and would highly recommend

Pros:

La ubicación es excelente pese a no tener una linea de metros muy cerca. Apartamento muy cómodo.

Cons:

No logramos que la calefacción saliera aire caliente. Eramos 5 y había solo 4 sillas. El sofá cama poco cómodo para dormir un adulto. el colchón es incómodo. Los niños sin problema.

Convenient but overall quite disappointed
Pros:

Location is very convenient.
The building and lobby are very beautiful.

Cons:

Rooms are in dire need of refurbishment. There was a nightstand only on one side of the bed. Bathroom was cramped.
Not good value for money.
Staff was good during check in, but we had an issue when picking up an Amazon package on Friday evening. The receptionist was adamant that no packages had arrived and that I had to fil a complaint with Amazon. It was only when (after 10-15 minutes) I insisted to be let into the storage room, I found the package after a 20 second search. Still puzzled about it.

Fantastic stay
Pros:

I have stayed here a number of times previously and what consistently brings me back is location, amenities and the fantastic staff. The staff are welcoming and go over and above to try and make sure your stay is comfortable. Whilst the room/apartment decor is a bit tired in places, the positives are that it is clean and comfortable. It is great to have some room to spread out - in particular if you are staying for an extended period of time. It is great to have a laundry on site, and there are multiple dining out options a short walk from the hotel including a fantastic 24 hour deli next door. Good transport options: Lexington/51st trains about a 10 minute walk, Grand Central is about 15 minutes or so and there are buses running along 1st/2nd Avenue and 49/50 Streets.

Cons:

It would be great if the hotel offered king size beds as standard and slightly softer mattresses.
