WE LOVED OUR ROOM AND THE OLD COLONIAL CHARM IT BROUGHT. THE BED WAS VERY COMFORTABLE !
I was there for my grandson's wedding. The weather was rainy, so I appreciated that the festivities and accommodations were under the same roof. So convenient!
Also, the front desk clerk, Michelle, was so helpful and pleasant.
As a Senior, I was extra cautious walking on the floors and stairs. I understand that uneven floors are part of the quaintness of colonial buildings, so I'm not complaining. Goes with the territory.
The room was adequately appointed, and the bed was comfortable.
The staff seemed to struggle to repair the faulty front door lock, first replacing the batteries, then making me wait 1/2 hour longer after notification that the lock still wasn't working, before coming back to re-program the door lock. I was stuck in the room during all this time because my key wouldn't let me back in until the electronic problems were fixed.
Second, the breakfast was the smallest, with the fewest options I have ever encountered, in a hotel with "free breakfast included." One crossant and one cupcake.
The room was located on a high hill some distance from the front office and restaurant, requiring that I walk up and down this hill, in cold weather, several times during my stay. Other rooms within the heated central complex were available.
The room I stayed in was clean and well kept. The bathroom was ample size with a walk in shower which I like.
I wish the shower had a ledge or bench so I can put my feet on to clean them. And I'm not sure if this happened here but I have seemed to been bitten on the legs by some small mite maybe and sustained a bite under my eye that was slightly swollen in the morning. I did not see any evidence of bugs, but I felt it probably happened in bed.
The Facilities are extremely old which is great for the look and feel of rich American history. In addition, the wedding reception and bar that we came here for was amazing.
Since it is old the doors wouldn’t fully lock, creeks far too much, walls are as thin as paper and tvs are so old and hard to plug in any consoles.
Staff was incredibly friendly, good location.
Wasn't the cleanest
Beautiful suite upgrade for birthday celebration.
Weather - snow.
I'm there often and it's always too not h. Definitely 7 stars
Accessible, nice view of snowstorms, warm room, tv receptions very good. Quiet, nice complimentary breakfasts.
Not enough regular coffee, fan loud in bathroom.
The room was clean and warm
We were told we would have breakfast in the morning. We had to get to my Sister's Funeral so we had little time and when we went for breakfast we were told we could choose from the top two shelves in the bakery. That's not breakfast. We ended up running out and stopping at a McDonalds, and I must tell you that I would never eat at a McDonalds under normal circumstances.
The location was perfect. The staff was very friendly. The bakery was nice.
The room could use some e updating but it was comfortable and clean.
