Pros:

The staff were very friendly. The bistro lady asked us before closing if we had enough food. Coming and going the desk staff would either greet us or say have a good day.

Cons:

We had to ask for house keeping on day two of our stay and then the beds were made but the floor wasn’t moped very well, could still see where we left our wet shoes.

The hot tub was closed, the sign said weekly maintenance but after talking to the front desk we were told that it is closed until later in the new year but couldn’t give us a time. This was not stated until after we had booked the hotel that there was no hot tub (one thing that we really wanted to use)

We booked 2 queen beds but got 2 double beds instead.

The food was good and hot at the bistro. Parking was very good. Unfortunately there was a fire alarm that went off at 3:45 in the morning but no direction was given, called front desk to find out if we had to vacate the premise.

The building was quiet over the holidays.

Would not stay again unfortunately.
Pros:

The bed was comfortable, lots of bathroom product to use. IMO in a good location, not sketchy downtown which is why I booked here. Front desk agent guy was very nice.

Cons:

Upon check-in, I went up to my room and the door would not open. Went back down, he gave me a different room - that door would also not open. The third room he gave me worked and I was able to get in as normal. That was quite annoying.

Slowest elevator ever. Hallways had an odor.
There was a lady at the front desk who found a bed bug in her bed when she checked in, me and her chatted. (She even had the bug in a cup). After learning that I was extremely uncomfortable. My room was pretty clean and everything looked good - but it did not put my mind at ease. Luckily my room/stay was clean.

Rooms could definitely use a refresh. To me - this is a $130 all-in room. Certainly not the $176 that it was. Overall, my stay was not terrible by any means, but I would not stay again unfortunately.

Good value, friendly staff, excellent location!
Pros:

Friendly staff, clean, room was spacious. Excellent location for our purposes.

Cons:

No bedside table with light in the separate bedroom. It was really warm, too warm, in some common areas and even within the room at times.

Met our expectations
Pros:

We (a couple with a 16-year old) stayed here one night as we had tickets to the Riders game.

The rooms are standard Holiday Inn family/business traveller quality. It is difficult to complain as all our needs were met and given the price, we can’t expect luxury.

There is an indoor pool but the hot tub was out of service.

The breakfast buffet was adequate but a little lower quality at this location than I expected from a Holiday Inn.

Overall, a decent place to stay.
