It would be nice to bring back the wine and cheese hour.

Good location and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Check in was efficient and coffee in lobby was good.

A comfortable, no frills hotel in the best location in NewHaven. Spacious rooms with quiet a/c. Friendly and helpful staff. What could be better.

I will start with the positives- Beautiful decor and ambiance in the foyer area and in the main lobby. The hotel is situated in a serene neighborhood of the city. The staff, both upon arrival and departure, were friendly and helpful. There is a garage opposite the hotel where you pay to park daily. No complaint because you can go and come as you please with no extra charges.
I was in the lobby on several occasions and loved all the music that was playing. (Smooth R&B from the 90s and old school jam.) It took me back. Sometimes I caught myself jamming to the music.
The negatives- We were told that coffee or tea would be served in the mornings at the front foyer. They only had water. Anything else had to be bought from the market. There was no continental breakfast. We were there for an extended time and hoped our room would be cleaned. Every time that we left the room for long periods of times, the housekeepers would come in and change the trash cans and place towels in the bathroom, but they never made the beds or tidied up the rooms. Most hotels inform guests about the frequency of room cleaning, whether it’s every other day or not. They did not clean our rooms during the entire stay and they were coming into our rooms when we were not there! Leave a note or let us know if the rooms are not going to be cleaned. On Saturday night, we asked the gentleman in the lobby for fresh towels and he told us that he would send someone up in 10 minutes. We waited and waited. No one ever showed up.

Great location right downtown and we two non-alcoholic drink vouchers with our stay. There is a bridge directly from the hotel to the parking garage next door although you still had to pay $25 to park overnight.

Super happy we decided staying at this hotel, very clean, I’m very picky and I was very satisfied. If we come back to this city we will stay here again!

Staff was extremely kind and I cannot express how much a kind staff means during a hotel stay.

Breakfast is amazing

This is a nice, clean hotel located nearby to Yale and the town green. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. They have a little marketplace where you can buy snacks and a light breakfast, although I did not do the latter, so I cannot speak to how good it is. I had an even at Yale and the nearby Omni hotel, and this was a convenient place to stay that was relatively affordable. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The parking is just across the street with a walkway bridge that conveniently brings you over to the hotel. The area is not the prettiest, but it felt safe.
