Beautiful view
Pros:

The view from the room was great. We got the one with wall to ceiling windows which was totally worth it (1104). The full size bath tub has the same view. Bed was comfortable and the shower was awesome. I think it was only 16 AUD each to add breakfast when we booked which was a killer deal. Not much of a walk to restaurants and stores. Only a 10 minute taxi to the airport. Wifi was free and fast.

Cons:

If I did again I wouldn't pick the 11th floor. The bar is on floor 12 and we could hear chairs moving above us.

A lovely hotel with excellent staff but the air conditioning system is letting the hotel down
Pros:

We were moved from the Tower to a sea facing 6th floor room. The replacement room was excellent and we wish that we had chosen this room at the time of booking. The 2 ladies on reception were extremely helpful in moving rooms, you both were outstanding.

Cons:

The Tower room on the 7th floor (703) is small, has very limited storage for clothes. The room and all of our clothing was made damp by the faulty air conditioning.

Location was good

Cons:

Not a Panoramic Ocean King - most of the view was of the city and the ocean view was to the right. Maintenance is needed - Bathroom had three broken blinds and the overhead shower didn’t work, only the hand shower. Reported to reception but nothing followed up.

Overall we had a ball in Cairns for 6 days.
Pros:

We loved the pools, restaurants, staff were excellent in general with their service.

Cons:

Certain areas of our room were substandard - the toilet seat wasn't clean, same with the side tables and tea/coffee area.
We were confused by the $20 per day credit for no room service when we asked about it on Thursday. When your counter staff Jessica advised us that we should have advised them early in our stay (not explained when we checked in) she seemed to reluctantly give us our $80 credit (her attitude was not pleasant).
We think this should be explained more clearly when checking in and also on the information card.
