The facilities were great.
Our room was raided on the 2nd night by Cairns Police with the help of hotel staff at 11.30pm. I was detained and removed from the room while my partner was questioned in bed for a domestic abuse report. After both of us saying it was the wrong room. It was confirmed they were looking for room 533 not 503, police apologised and left which was fine they were just doing their job. Hotel staff however never apologised or mentioned anything about it in the moment or at check-out. Also for context, my partner has been in the country for 2 weeks and we were staying there for mother day, we had also switched rooms with my mother & I am glad it wasn't her that had been raided.
edit: management reached out at a later date and went above and beyond to make up this, we are very grateful for the efforts they made.
Facilities and pool area always clean and well maintained
For a 5 star resort the buffet breakfast was below average.
Great room and facilities! Defiantly kitted out better than most other hotels around. Better than its Cousin, Crystalbrook Flynn, which was great aswell, but Riley way better!
I honestly can’t think of any!
Location, pool and roof top bar.
The breakfast , everything was cold. Also the pool was freezing.
The rooms & pool
the family room set up was really nice. rooms were spacious and comfortable.
fact that pre-booking inclusive of breakfast was priced higher than room + buying breakfast at hotel - have never seen this before. as a result, we booked without breakfast, but found a lovely restaurant next door - Muddy's
The Riley looks very inviting, in a great spot along the promenade. Our room was in the tower, great room, very comfy bed.
Nothing
Great connecting rooms, pools, movie, room service and buffet breakfast including a surprise for our child's bday.
Paid for parking only to enter an already full small carpark and waste time, no one seemed to be monitoring the situation. Very busy everywhere in the resort.
Whilst it is refurbished property it is in great condition.
Nothing
Lovely staff. They were all so friendly and helpful. Place was in a good location with easy access to activities
There was a slight smell in the room.
Nice room restaurants pools
Location close to the Cairns Base Hospital where were attending.
Check in was chaotic and late. Non communication from Staff members regarding the problems that we had during our stay.
I like the location and staff . The property was always kept neat.
The room was not up to the standard I expected for a five star hotel considering the cost paid per night. The air conditioning was not effective as we sweat all night before we checked out this morning. When we complained we were told that the system those not allow customers to adjust the temperature.
Bars and restaurants good
