Very disappointing experience.

We booked Dukes Palace Residence after being told it was connected to the main Dukes Palace Hotel and that we could enjoy the same facilities. This is very misleading.
Check-in was already a bad start. We arrived at 2:28 PM after an 8+ hour flight and a 1.5-hour train ride, completely exhausted. The receptionist kept insisting we leave our luggage and go explore the city instead of waiting. We stayed in the lobby for 30 minutes, clearly tired, and she made no effort to accommodate us or check if the room could be ready sooner.
The biggest disappointment came on our last day. After a long day walking around, we wanted to order room service. Only then were we told: “You are in the Residence, we don’t offer room service. You can order food and come pick it up.”
For a place marketed alongside a 5-star hotel, this is unacceptable. The Residence feels more like a random Airbnb using the hotel’s name, but without the service or comfort you would expect.

If I had known this beforehand, I would have never booked it.

Café da manhã memorável! Tem uma localização fácil de deslocamento a pé pelos pontos principais. Quarto luxuoso.

Cons:

Dá para chegar a pé na estação de trem, mas não é tão “colado” nela. O local do vaso sanitário ficava com um cheiro forte (aparentemente algum problema no exaustor), por outro lado era separado do chuveiro, o que é um ponto positivo.

Professional friendly staff. Beautiful rooms and in the heart of Brugge.
Pros:

Beautiful room though disappointed to be in a separate building away from the main hotel which was not made clear during booking.
Had to be moved as there was a slight problem with the room which was handled very well by the staff.
Location of hotel ideal and breakfast excellent.
Bath robes not provided in room but was delivered after a request.

Cons:

An outside walk to breakfast and a feeling of isolation from the main hotel.

Great place to stay in the heart of Bruge
Pros:

The room.was spacious and clean with all expected amenities. The bed was conformable. We had a great stay and loved this hotel.

Cons:

Periodically there was a bit of a clunking noise that sounded like water pipes. It happened at all hours day and night but not all the time. It really was only disruptive when trying to sleep at night.

De locatie is heel centraal gelegen in het hartje van Brugge.
Het hotel ligt in een zijstraatje waar weinig tot geen verkeer komt.
We werden zeer hartelijk ontvangen! Onze kamer lag net buiten het hotel in een apart gebouw. We werden hier naartoe begeleid en onze bagage werd gedragen voor ons.
De kamer was ruim en had alles wat we nodig hadden. Het bubbelbad op de kamer was zeker een leuk extraatje!
Het ontbijt was voortreffelijk! Zeer uitgebreid, met lekkere koffie en een cava.
Een hotel waar we zéker nog eens naartoe komen!

Cons:

Niets. Het hotel heeft onze verwachtingen overtroffen!
