Pros:

The shower was either scalding hot or freezing cold there was no in the middle... The place was loud and I could hear the pub below. My heater didn't work at all so unless I was under my covers I was freezing. The lady behind the counter was super friendly but there was no staff at night once the pub closed and the walls were very thin so I had to blast "sleep music" to drown out the guy on the other side of the wall who was snoring extremely loud. Over all a decent enough stay for the price but wouldn't recommend to anyone sensitive to noise while sleeping. At least the place was clean and the TV worked.

Disappointment this time round
Pros:

I have stayed at the bell hotel before and knew the standard state of the place.. only booked as it was cheap and closest to the place I was working plus only 1 night.. only found out after staying before for 2 weeks that they do have a microwave, fridge on ground floor if you need to use it.. however the room (4) had a odd smell, no remote for the tv and did not work without a remote.. the window was not double glazed and made the room very cold .. bed is outdated and very uncomfortable compared to the last time I stayed.. wasn’t impressed this time round. No parking as mainly taken up by the locals as it’s the same cars from the last past weeks I have stayed.. you have to wait after 6pm if you want to park on the street with out getting a ticket.. very nosy from the boy races late at night.. hardly got any sleep.. was not happy this time round..

You pay for what you get
Pros:

Professional Review

The accommodation offers a basic yet comfortable stay, ideal for a good night’s rest. However, the shared shower and toilet facilities may not suit everyone’s preferences. I stayed for two weeks intermittently due to work, with the property conveniently located just a 5-minute drive from my workplace.

During the first week, parking was manageable, but the second week presented challenges. The pub’s local patrons frequently occupied the two available parking bays, and on occasion, vehicles were parked across both spaces. This issue was compounded by the restrictive parking rules, which allow no alternative parking until after 6 PM, with a requirement to move your car before 9 AM.

As for the pub itself, it offers a decent experience. Overall, the accommodation serves its purpose for short stays, but the limited amenities and parking situation reflect the adage: “You get what you pay for.”

Pros:

We woke up this morning before 6am. Burglar alarm going off. Still going when we left property. No one around to help. We had a party and didnt get back until late. Being woken up like this was inconvenient and the fact it carried on and was not turned off was not good. Safety was terrible back gate open anyone could get into corridors where accomadation is. As toilet facilities were outside of the rooms.....which we knew about. I had to wake my husband up to escort me to the toilet as it wasnt safe to go alone. Booking a room was a last minute thing and was not expensive. Surely all the things Ive mentioned should not have happened. I was scared as I didnt know why alarm had been triggered, there could have been a break in and anything could have happened whilst we were there. Not happy at all.

Great little find!
Pros:

Fantastic find! It’s a pub rather than a hotel, but the room was comfortable with tea and biscuits etc supplied. It was a shared bathroom which wasn’t a problem. The staff were fantastic and couldn’t do enough to help. I didn’t find it noisy despite it being Kareoke on the Friday night. Parking wasn’t on site but I didn’t have a problem parking just behind the pub in a small car park. A stone’s throw from bars and restaurants. Would definitely return. Thank you for a great stay!

Pros:

This is a good old fashioned pub, with down to earth hard working folks. Bev and the rest made me feel really welcome. I was lucky enough to be staying during the big music fest in town. Fridays there is karaoke or a DJ. A very local regular crowd. Hope to stay again soon. Not far from Broxbourne train station which is an easy journey to London Liverpool Street. Parking down the lane next to the pub or on the street.

It was pretty poor but then it was cheap, however the bin was full of rubbish so I don’t suspect the cleaning staff and particularly attentive

Pros:

I think it was advertised as loud music but very loud until early hrs of the morning would not be suited to many . Rather intimidating clientele within the bar area which would be recommended to avoid entering. Other than that , if you can manage to get past the intoxicated persons at the rear Garden entrance to the staircase and saftey to your room then at least the rooms are clean and tidy.
