Moderne in NYC
Pros:

Location was perfect for getting to see the city.
Hotel was clean and a good breakfast to start the day.
It was also great to be able to have tea/coffee in the residents lounge anytime during the day.
The staff were so very friendly and helpful especially Gerry and Andy.
My husband and I enjoyed having chats with them in the evenings and getting them to listen to Irish traditional music 🎶
We would definitely recommend this boutique style hotel.

We would definitely return! Great location and awesome staff!
Pros:

The hotel is located in an excellent area with a great Irish Pub and an Italian Restaurant next door. Subway train stations are within an easy walk, too.

The hotel staff is awesome. They are friendly and helpful.

Cons:

There is some construction going on near the property so it can be a little noisy during the day.

The bed mattress was extra firm and a little uncomfortable. So, if you like a softer mattress, be sure to ask at the desk. They may be able to accommodate your request!

this is our 3rd time staying there, and I will go there again.
Pros:

the staff is great. the location is close to everything-Times Square, 5th ave, Central Park. My fav place to stay now.

Cons:

there is some construction going on outside, and it starts at 7am.

The one spot you wish you didn’t overlook.
Pros:

What a diamond in the rough! It felt like it was home as soon as I stepped through the entrance. The staff is top notch (Andy and Jerry, most importantly), and the rooms are phenomenal. Location is perfect.

Cons:

Breakfast scam (they share on their highlights that breakfast is included) - they only serve coffee and 1-2 dry pastries ( sometimes not even, 1:30 h delay after breakfast opening to provide those ), arrogant staff, elevator often not available

Cute n convenient to everything

Cons:

No A/C , staff stated being that it was cooler weather in NYC (50's) the unit was turned off to the whole building so no A/C available. It goit hot at night.

A comfortable bed in an artsy setting
Pros:

The building design and room was artful, and retro at the same time. A great place to come back to after partying. Staff was friendly, and helpful.

Cons:

The breakfast / coffee room could've been better. It had lots of potential, tho no music, cold drinks or snacks made it feel incomplete

Comfortable Stay Steps from Central Park
Pros:

I stayed at Hotel Moderne during my trip to New York and had a great experience. The location is amazing — it’s super close to Central Park and Times Square, so getting around and exploring the city was really easy.

A special shoutout to Keenan, who welcomed us in an incredible way and made the check-in feel really warm and easy.

Fab location, decent room, one standout staff member!
Pros:

The location of the Moderne was excellent. Andy at the front desk was exceptionally helpful and kind. My friends and I were disappointed about the breakfast situation (advertised as coffee and pasties from 7-10 daily) when we noticed that there were zero breakfast items and no milk by 8:30 and told by a rather crotchety female staff member that "it's first come, first serve...once we're out, we're out." Later that evening, once we shared the situation with Andy, we noticed improvements the very next day. He also helped us sort out room bookings after travel cancellations due to the blizzard. As visiting tourists stuck in the NY winter storm, it was comforting to have someone responding quickly to our concerns - thank you, Andy!

Our fav hotel in the city
Pros:

This quaint hotel is a true gem! The spacious room & location couldn’t have been better. The cherry on top was Jerry & Andy who have as much charm and character as the hotel itself. Needless to say, I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Cons:

Breakfast was limited, once finished they don't refill. Even if you are within the breakfast time. Zero score for hospitality because i wanted to shorten my stay as my son back home got sick. I asked if they can cancel the 2nd day booking as I have to leave earlier under these exceptional circumstances. The hotel still refused to accommodate and decided to charge me anyway.

La ubicación del hotel es excepcional. Cerca de Times Square, Broadway y Central park. La gente del hotel súper amable y dispuestos a ayudar en todo momento. Hotel pequeño, pero con todo lo necesario para pasar unos días y poder explorar NYC.

Cons:

El precio del alojoamiento incluye desayuno, pero en realidad es un salón donde puedes tomar un café y algunas pastas que proporcionan a diario. No es un desayuno como tal. Es una especie de obsequio del hotel.
