Location
Staff was friendly but nonchalant about any questions or concerns
Nothing
We paid $500 to stay in a dump, The furniture was spare, the runner for the glass sliding door was rusted so we couldn't
open the door more than a few inches, the bathroom wall was peeling and the only room amenities consisted of two q-tips and 2 bottles of water. When I first made my reservation, AI answered and didn't deliver it .
NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYBODY.
Near all the things we wanted to see.
Smell of the elevator.
Location, walkable to the ferry and many restaurants
A little dated
The location was perfect. We walked to the charming downtown, took in the incredible scenery, we were close to visit family and walked to Sam's for an event.
The Lodge has been well loved. It is a huge property and is quite nice. I heard great things about the bar area, but we did not get a chance to visit as we were there for a very short stay. Some renovation of the building is probably in order, but this did not hinder us from having a wonderful time and enjoying the property
Outstanding location. Best in the area
We have been coming here for almost 18 years. This was a premiere property which has been allowed to waste away. In desperate need of a refresh. Painting, plumbing fixtures, bathrooms, flooring, everything! Don’t allow this magnificent property to fail! It’s always busy. Make it Beautiful and charge appropriately.
location, close to ferry to SF and Angel Island and Muir State Park
Location is outstanding.
Extremely worn out and in desperate need of a redo. I have been staying here off and on for 18 years and the property is wearing out. Very much past time for a renovation. New Ownership needs to get to work. Cracked sinks in bathrooms and thread bare towels are not expected in this type of property. Nice staff but they can only do so much.
size of room
restaurant staff not too interested in taking order or bring bill. food very under par.
Meager. Needs renovation. No bedspread or armchair. Two hangers. Cheap waste can. No toilet brush. Mold on window frames. No draperies. One small bottle of water. Cheap short shower curtain so bathroom floods. Ragged towels. Told I could get o discount because I used Bookings.
The whole place
Classic hotel with outside parking spacious rooms and great location! Easy walk to restaurants shops and ferry dock. A very special place.
Location
Not clean, ant was everywhere
The only reason I’m giving The Lodge at Tiburon two stars instead of one is because the location is amazing and the outdoor ambience is beautiful. Unfortunately, once you step inside the room, it feels like you’ve traveled back in time—and not in a good way.
If you’re looking for an authentic 1970s-themed hotel experience, this might be the place for you. The room felt extremely dated and in serious need of renovation. Even worse, there was mold in the shower and around the bathroom sink, which is completely unacceptable for a hotel at this price point.
It’s disappointing because this property has so much potential. The location and exterior atmosphere are fantastic, but the rooms simply don’t match. A beautiful setting can only carry a hotel so far.
Until the rooms are renovated and the bathroom cleanliness issues are addressed, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
⭐️⭐️ — And honestly, that second star belongs entirely to the location.
