Cons:

$500 extra deposit on credit card. Room had a kitchen but no dishes and two spoons, forks. Swimming pool is minuscule. Photos mask its small size.

I did not care for the receptionist forgot her name but one she just said really loud that my card declined and told me to get another card, I had no other card and she basically was telling me to just leave and go somewhere else I refuse to ,sorry I made a booking and I knew the card worked so then she finally figured out tap to pay and it would’ve been nice for her to come up with a second option to begin with and then I inquired about the shuttles. I asked about the latest I can get it and then after I paid for it, she told me oh we don’t have it between those times so I was really upset about that so I paid for a late check out for no reason because I would have to get on the earlier shuttle to universal again other than that was great stay

Good stay, convenient but could be great.
Pros:

Our room was clean, almost no musty smell. Overall the facilities were in good condition & the staff was attentive. After ALL OF THE miscommunication the shuttle to Universal Studios Hollywood was great.

Cons:

The issue was with the communication at the front office w/the clerks in person, via email and texts both to the hotel & by way of the app. The main reason I selected this hotel was due to the shuttle convenience & the dissatisfaction was due to this "not being" reserve for us, I did have to pay a local taxi. I complained via email & in person, the clerk promised to refund me the entire parking fee. Once that comes through to my credit card, I will be satisfied & my overall opinion will be a satisfactory one.

Hidden Gem
Pros:

The Safari Inn has been in several movies, the location is central and safe. The motel is older, but the rooms and grounds are immaculate. We had a quiet sleep, I would absolutely love to stay here again. Thank you.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Disappointed Booking wouldn't let me cancel.
Pros:

I should have done more research before booking here. There's no continental breakfast, no microwaves in the room, the beds are covered with thin sheets (no real blankets), and if you stay downstairs, the noise is so loud you will not sleep. The staff did their best to make us comfortable, but they wouldn't let us cancel and leave. I'm not sure why this place has such high reviews; perhaps it could be fun if you were using the shuttle to go to Universal, which we were not. I 100% do not recommend staying here, especially if you are traveling with children. Also, Google says the parking is free, but they charge $25/a night to park in a "public lot." You could park on the street and save your money. There's a pool that's advertised as heated, but it isn't. The cleaning staff were working their butts off but the management needs to make some serious upgrades.

I didn't like anything about our stay. I hated this hotel and will never stay it again. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
