Close to town. Interesting architecture.
Seemed expensive, especially breakfast.
Nice size room. Clean facilities. Art deco design.
The shower gel container was empty.
Really cool art deco hotel with nice rooms and friendly staff. The hotel shuttle is really convenient. Perfect for my annual girls trip.
The only issue we had was that the bar and restaurant were severely understaffed. We left without being served
La ubicación excelente 👌
Broken and stained interiors of the room, most uncomfortable bed known to man. No concern from staff when leaving early.
Great service and hotel. There are so many things to compliment. First we met Connie at front desk. The hotel was booked night before and our plane flight was early so she showed us the on-scene restraurant and within maybe 15 minutes walked our key down to us as we were eating. The restraurant had really good food. We ate twice on our 4 day stay. Loved the cheese curds and the burger with pulled pork/bacon cheeseburger too! Service was great there also. The artwork and detail in the style of construction of hotel brought the ambassador back to life from the 20’s! We also took advantage of the free shuttle to and from baseball game and also to and from Maders German Food downtown. They offer shuttle I think he said 3 miles from hotel up to midnight so saved a lot of time and money for that service. If you want German you HAVE to go to Maders. Reservations recommended but not required. There is a convenience store next door to the fight off of shuttle area and there is a diner (Michael’s) out the front Deco door to the left. Each floor in hotel has its own ice machine and laundry near the “08” rooms. We were in 812 so ours was near 808. They also had a baggage hold area for you and just great customer service. Rooms were large suite with hot tub and great dark shade curtains to sleep in. AC worked great and free WiFi. Would highly recommend staying at Ambassador.
The room I chose here was more expensive than a lot of rooms at modern hotels in the area, but I was in desperate need of relaxation from my 6 day work week and decided to splurge on the whirpool suite. I noticed that this hotel uncharged for everything - to have access to a microwave, for smooth internet, etc, but even though this would usually dissuade me I thought maybe it would be worth it to relax in that in room jet tub. I got there and filled the tub, which took a very long time - there was a sign that said that could happen, and the water was warm so I wasn’t bothered, it would be worth it. But when it finally filled and I pushed the jet button, not only did the jets not work, they shot cloudy debris into the water and ruined the entire tub, it was very gross and very sad. The selling point of the hotel didn’t work. I got into bed to try to relax and stream my show on the internet I paid for that advertised streaming capabilities, and it buffered every few seconds so bad that I had to give up. This stay was not at all worth the money spent - I would have saved so much staying at a modern hotel with working amenities, free and fast WiFi, and doesn’t charge $20 for a microwave.
Good price and location for the planned activity I was in town for
Paying for parking
Property harassments from homeless on various nights of stay inside and outside of hotel property! Bell employee had to run one homeless individual off the property while harassing my spouse and chasing me around our vehicle.
Reserved room was unacceptable due to cleanliness! Sheets were placed on the floor for pick up and what we noticed is photo attached, room not vacuumed, blinds torn in bathroom, bathtub knob broken, robe with torn strap provided, cable not working properly. Complaints were brought to staff members at the main check-in desk immediately after checking in and during stay. Manager was not available on sight to foresee and witness in-person to address our concerns.
Still a good value. Convenient location just outside city center. Descent services.
They have closed their excellent dining restaurant. The space is now used for breakfast only. It used to serve excellent lunches and dinners as well. Also, we put the "refresh" room service notice on our door, but when we returned to our room late that evening room we saw that room service had not come and the room was not refreshed. With the closure of the restaurant, a little of the old vibe and full service polish has vanished. A decent enough hotel, but we feel it has lost something. The vibe (and staff) now just seem a little tired. If you just need a place to sleep, it's probably OK, but we may look elsewhere next time we visit Milwaukee.
