Hotel Caza Fisherman's Wharf

The “fun” activities at the hotel (fooseball table, pool table and shuffleboard) were in need of maintenance and upgrades.

The noise from air/heat unit is quite loud

Parking was a hefty additional cost. They sold me an upgraded king room but then put me in two queens with no communication. The staff didn’t seem to care much about customer service. Felt very transactional ; not personal or boutique.

Breakfast options are quite poor in the hotel, there are two places across the street for breakfast but they are packed in the morning.
Down payment of 100 usd per night is high and was not reimbursed automatically after our stay. I had to ask for it 3 weeks later, after which it was corrected immediately but still I felt this should not happen.

Mieliśmy akurat pokój z fatalnym widokiem na tyły jakiegoś zakładu, także przez okno lepiej było nie wyglądać, ale najtrudniejszy do zaakceptowania był hałas!!!, od 6:00 codziennie włączały się jakieś urządzenia i silniki w tym zakładzie obok i do pokoju docierał intensywny hałas tych urządzań , także bez względu o której się położyliśmy to i tak było wiadomo że o 6:00 jest pobudka ( w pokoju niestety nie było stoperów).

When we booked this hotel, the main reason we chose it was because it advertised breakfast included. Well, surprise — the "free breakfast" turned out to be a daily credit. Since we'd already paid for it, we decided to give it a try. As we suspected, it was overpriced and very basic.

So we spoke to the receptionist about cancelling the breakfast credit and going elsewhere. After talking with the receptionist and then the manager, we were told we could get a refund for the days we didn't use the credit. Relieved, we decided to explore the area and skip the breakfast, believing the issue was resolved.

That's when the problems really started. The receptionist contacted a different manager, and of course, this person said they hadn't approved anything. After several minutes of being told they couldn't issue a refund because the reservation was made through a third party, I pointed out that this wasn't the first time I'd resolved this kind of "problem." Only then did they ask if we were certain we wouldn't use the credit — this was on the last day of our reservation — warning us that eating outside the hotel is very expensive. Which begs the question: why do they care so much if they can't even provide a decent quality breakfast?

After several weeks of trying to contact the hotel and receiving nothing but "the manager will call you later, they're busy," I still haven't gotten my refund back.

Two things stand out here: first, this hotel uses fake advertising by offering "breakfast included" when it isn't; and second, they refuse to honor a refund that a manager had already approved before we made our final decision.

Reception staff were unwelcoming on arrival. Very limited interaction and not warm or welcoming at all. Quite disappointed with initial hospitality.

The bar did not open until 5.30pm, not so cool if you wanted to chill by the pool with a few cocktails before that time. There are pizza places nearby tho and a booze shop to get some supplies.
