Meno House

Third time in Gili meno (and 10th in the island) and the place gets better. Excellent upmarket and quiet option to stay in Gili meno. Wifi has improved significantly from our last stay and there are more umbrellas around the pool so all around improvements.

The service is relaxed and non intrusive but if you need anything, ask and Jordan and the team will make it happen.

Another excellent stay and glad to see that Gili Meno is developing nicely.

We stayed at Meno House for 4 nights during our honeymoon and were drawn in by the peaceful location, boutique feel, and beachfront setting — and in many ways, it delivered.

The rooms are beautifully designed, modern, and perfect for a romantic escape. The infinity pool overlooking the ocean and private beach with sunbeds were ideal for relaxing. Breakfast was consistently delicious (especially the coffee), and the staff were friendly and attentive. We also loved the thoughtful honeymoon cake waiting in our room on arrival.

Snorkelling and diving off the beach were highlights, and the hotel offers free snorkelling gear and bikes (though cycling through sand was a challenge!).

However, a few things let the experience down. On our first night, we found stained bed linen, a towel with holes, and a large cockroach in the room. Bugs also got in easily through the bathroom door. The staff responded quickly, and the manager, Jordan, arranged pest control and offered a complimentary cocktail. Still, despite being on-site later, he never approached us directly — a personal check-in would’ve meant a lot.

Also, though Meno House is marketed as adults-only, children were present in shared areas, and transfers could be better value.

Overall, it’s a stunning, peaceful spot with real potential. With a little more polish in hospitality and quality control, it could be truly exceptional.

We stayed in a beachfront villa on the side with the bar. From start to finish, the most wonderful service with the friendliest staff, the rooms are stunning and the food is amazing. The vibe is so relaxed and luxurious you don’t want to leave and we wish we had stayed longer (we stayed 3 nights only). Nothing is too much trouble and we organised a trip with the hotel for a two hour private snorkelling trip around meno. We did go straight out from the room into the sea and saw turtles but the snorkelling guide showed us so much it took our breath away. We cannot recommend the trip enough. Food is wonderful too. If you want a bit of luxury and peace and quiet then this hotel is an absolute MUST! Thank you to everyone at meno house.

I confess, I made a mistake. I only booked 2 nights at Meno House when it should have been 5!
From the minute we set foot onto the sand it was a vibe.
Beautiful ocean facing room with lovely amenities, soft fluffy towels and personal touches like reusable water bottles, a beach bag and ceremony bracelets.
Jordan and his team were awesome, always there if needed but not intrusive.
Meals were massive and refreshing drinks all while facing the pristine ocean .
Snorkeling straight off the beach definatly a highlight.
We will be back, next time for longer .

This was truly an incredible experience. Hotel staff and service are excellent. You can WhatsApp with anything and they will respond promptly, help arrange boats to other islands and your arrival/departure transport.
We had a beachfront villa and it was perfect. Just steps away from the ocean, pool, and Toofey’s restaurant/bar.
Rooms were clean, comfortable and they serviced the rooms twice a day. The outdoor shower was nice.
With only 7 villas, this is the perfect quiet peaceful island escape. We had the pool to ourselves most of the time or only one or two other couples were there.
Jordan is the manager and his parents own the place and stay there often, we were fortunate to meet them all during our stay. They are lovely people.
The bar and restaurant staff are excellent. You can order drinks at the bar (steps from the pool) and the restaurant is open for breakfast lunch and dinner.
We swam with sea turtles almost every day of our trip. The hotel provides snorkeling gear, kayaking, water shoes, and bikes complimentary.
It’s so peaceful on Gili Meno and easy to visit Gili Air and Gili T. The staff will help you arrange boats.
Could not have dreamt of a better honeymoon spot. It was truly perfect.
We will definitely be back.

Spent 4 nights at this incredible resort on Gili Meno. There is not much to do on the island, which is the perfect escape to simply relax and unwind.
The resort only has 8 villas surrounding a swimming pool and all overlooking the ocean. You are only a few metres from the beach. The villas are beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. The large king size bed and pillows are extremely comfortable and assure the best sleep quality. Each villa has a large terrace outside allowing guests to just relax. The best part of the villa is the outdoor shower in your own tropical garden.
The restaurant is directly in the beach and serves excellent food. Breakfast was included and each item is ordered separately. They focus on very healthy breakfast items, however some fruit items are frozen.
They offer free bicycles which is great to ride around the island. They also offer free kayaks and snorkels and goggles, as you are literally 20 to 50 meters from the most incredible coral reefs and many sea turtles.
The service is extremely friendly and the staff very kind.
Got sunburnt the first day, and Jordan the General Manager arranged a long sleeved shirt to wear for swimming for the duration of the stay and the staff very kindly applied fresh aloe vera on the sunburn. This is exceptional service.
Jordan arranged with short notice and snorkelling trip and they pick you up on the beach directly in front of the resort. It was one of the best snorkelling I have ever done with a private guide who comes in the water with you. Highly recommend this trip.
The only complaint: once you arrive at this resort and island, you don’t want to leave.

We stayed at Meno House for 2-nights, 14-16 June. The hotel is situated on the beachfront and has a beautiful view out to sea. We were greeted by the friendly staff at Meno House upon arrival. The pool area is amazing and is again located on the beachfront. We booked a Beach Front Villa expecting to be situated at the front of the hotel but we’re 2 Villa’s in to the complex so didn’t have the Sea View from our window unfortunately, so that was disappointing. The Mini Bar was well stocked, but at a charge. A nice touch is that you are given personal refillable water bottles to use throughout your stay which can be topped up for free at the Bar. You also have free access to snorkelling equipment, bikes and a kayak. Despite all of the good naturally there are some gripes. As beautiful as the sea and sand look, it’s full of broken coral - which obviously can’t be helped. Drinks orders are not taken by the sun bed, you have to go to the Bar to order. The hotel is approx. a 45 minute walk from the port, so be prepared to use horse and cart if you have 25KG baggage like we did. We didn’t have our beach towels replaced after day 1 by housekeeping, luckily we brought our own. Finally, despite informing the hotel of our honeymoon prior to arrival they didn’t really go above and beyond to make the trip extra special. This obviously didn’t spoil anything for us but would had been a nice touch! Food & drink lovely, we ate out once for dinner. Overall we would recommend and return to the hotel.

I wish we had planned to stay longer! We loved the relaxed and peaceful atmosphere of this resort with friendly staff and yummy food! Rooms were great, good AC and I liked that the shower was outside but the toilet and sink area were inside away from mosquitoes and the humidity. The little extras for guests during the stay is such a lovely idea. Plenty of comfy loungers available at all times on the beach and by the pool so no having to reserve beds. We travelled across Lombok and the Gilis for a few weeks and this was my favourite place, we will definitely return! Thank you Meno House for a lovely stay🙏

We had a super relaxing stay here. The rooms are so comfortable and nice. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the beach area is nice and clean, so pretty! Great swimming pool. Free snorkeling gear and bikes.
And the food… everything we tried, breakfast-lunch-dinner, was delicious, they have an amazing cook.
Everything was super clean in the room, a nice welcome and “see you later” gift etc
The staffing the best, Acik, Surya, Yuda and Iggy were amazing. So was Jordan (manager) and Ary (reception)
We stayed 5 nights and I really felt 100% relaxed, which usually doesn’t happen for me. This was my little paradise.
For sure recommend and if I hopefully come back to Meno, it will be here again, no doubt!

The staff were very attentive and helped us with everything from tips around the area to helping us get the ferry back.

From check in, to service, to the amount of care these guys put into this place and taking care of their guests... This place is amazing! I have to give an extra huge shout out to Uwi who worked his tail off all day every day of the week we were there. Surya and literally everyone here including the groundskeeper and cleaning crew were 5 ⭐ so great.

When we arrived my wife had really hurt her leg before getting on the ferry to Gili meno... The staff at Meno House saw she was hurting and had us in our room with our bags in literally minutes, and even brought her ice bags for her leg. Incredible. The room was super clean, the bed comfortable, and the outdoor shower was fun.

The food at Toofeys at the hotel was some of the best on the whole island so we ate here 90% of the time. The included breakfast was so great. The beef burger 🍔 really good! When I told Uwi I wanted the Mexican bowl he had the kitchen make some Sambal sauce and it was exactly what I was looking for. Again, the service is great!

The resort is so tiny and intimate you feel like the whole place is to yourself almost. I think there was 8 total guests here at one point in our stay. My wife was originally wanting to stay at a new fancy (and way more expensive!) place right down the beach.... And she even said " I'm so glad we stayed here instead."

Amazing snorkeling 🤿 with sea turtles right in front of the hotel every day. And even a resident cat named ShiShi that kept us company occasionally 🙂.

Stop looking. Stay here. Gili meno is amazing and you won't regret a second. Thanks to all the Meno House staff for a great stay!!

The pool area and the bungalows are very nice. Stayed twice and it is getting pricier but unfortunately there have been no improvements in areas where the place falls short. Agreed with the comment re slow internet (can't be used most of the time), staff are nice but uninterested. Breakfast is poor for the price (small plate of food and one small plate of fruit). It is much better in Mahamaya or Bask). No seconds and if someone wants two coffees or a coffee and a latte, you need to pay extra. That is very cheap.
It is impossible to get the staff attention if you want to order by the pool.
Staff makes unnecessary noise since very early in the morning.
Food is not great. Thanks god that there are other options with Bask being the latest and best.

Overall I like the place but I feel there are lots of missed opportunities, all down to poor management. At this price point, they should sort these things

Internet not good in house 2 always going off. Needs to have a seal round shower door to outside as mosquitoes and midge able to get in when lights on . Really needs sorting

Meno house was my best hotel experience so far. Its only six rooms and only adults at the hotel. The food was fantastic and the staff was soo friendly. We could borrow bikes and snorkeling equipment for free and we saw big turtles just outside the beach. The rooms are wery clean and well planned. We wish we could stay for another week.

We went on a adult family holiday it was amazing the staff were so nice and helpful .
The food was also 5 star ,fresh modern and a great variety ,there was also celiac options.
We stayed in the upstairs apartment which was very cool ,and had an outside shower ,dressing room , outside day bed a very comfortable bed (very important when your retired bed manufacturers )and personal inside lounge ..and an upstairs pool!
We were really impressed.cant wait to return .

The attention to detail in every area is superb. Set on a perfect beach with its own coral reef straight out from the shore and turtles that swim up to the beach! The vibe here is totally laid back, no motorised transport (horse & cart to get around if you don’t walk), beautiful scenery, no banging tunes - just a romantic piece of paradise. Value for money on the whole island is incredible and this hotel was no exception, even pricing the things you pay for like drinks and massages in line with local prices. We would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and would love to return.

The reason for our stay at Meno House, was because we were having a family reunion over a whole week. We could not have asked for more. The staff and management of the resort were exemplary in every way. The cleanliness, quality of accomodation, amenities and quality of food, we didn’t want to eat anywhere else!

The Manager of the resort, Jordan, was amazing his support in the coordination of transport both on and off the island, recommendations for what to see and do, not to mention his personal approach during our whole stay was amazing, you couldn’t ask for anymore.

Did not stay but the food was delicious and the view ❤️ we had home made sour dough bread and hummus, it was delicious. I had the seafood platter and my husband had swordfish steak.
