Not worthy of being called an IHG hotel.
Pros:

Location was alright. The atmosphere was not to be found. The room was old, and not worth the $130+ I paid. As for the cleanliness, I'll give them a pass since it is under renovation. No noise level at all. Not happy with the service, as they should be at the counter, ready to go, and when they were at the counter, they were on their phones. And amenities? None to speak of that I saw.

Pros:

Rooms were clean and staff was friendly.

Cons:

The air conditioner in our room did not work. I was too tired to go back downstairs to see if the could switch our room.
Booking.com has the property as it having smoking rooms bit it did not.

Worse Hotel Stay in my Life

The 1st Receptionist when we Arrived was Awesome, but the one that took over for her was Awful and unpleasant and very unprofessional when telling her our complaints about The Handicapped room 422 and Room 222 which the moved us cause nothing worked on the Handicapped room, the AC, Refrigerator and lights wouldn't work, 2nd room the smell was terrible and the Refrigerator didn't work either, and finally we got moved Again to room #227 which was OK, at least the fridge work but wouldn't stay close, had to put a heavy bag to keep it closed, The New General Manager was there that morning on our check out, HE was very Professional and Empathetic about our treat and Stay there and was very helpful and professional, He's Name is Mr.Chris, thank you Mr. Chris for you apologizing to us for our horrible Stay there

Theme Park Get away
Pros:

It was a 15-minute ride away from the Bush Garden theme Park. It was walking distance to convenient stores, restaurants, movie theater, gas station, and small activities if you wanted to explore. Even though housekeeping was not overnight, the rooms were very clean and tidy. The staff at the front desk were helpful. They were working on gym therefore we never had a chance to use it. The pool was nice and I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast in the morning. It was enough for everyone. We only put our feet in the pool water, and it was nice and warm. It's not too much to see outside but it is a beautiful place inside.

Can see they are still working on renovation so would stay again for the convenience.
Pros:

Breakfast ends a little early for me. I got up there just as the girl was putting everything away. Updates in room were nice. New floors, curtains and updated bathroom. Furniture needs replacement badly. Beds were comfy. Would definitely stay again because it is very convenient to Moffitt Cancer Center.

Cons:

Young children in next room were running around in hall screeching and playing (with a parent present) until 11/11:30 both nights we were there. There's no way management didn't hear them and do something about it.
