La Quinta by Wyndham Charlotte Airport South

This hotel is under total reconstruction and having traveler’s staying here while common areas are being destructed is unsafe. The common areas have construction debris strewn on floors and multiple workers are are carrying tools and construction material. The outside areas is a mess with piles of materials removed from rooms such as mattresses, toilets, chairs,etc. The grounds around the hotel are disgraceful wth liquor bottles, beer cans, etc. Doors are supposed to be secure but workmen leave doors propped open as they pass thru all day. Existing rooms are horrible. The carpet in our room was beyond soiled. There were patches in carpet that were poorly repaired. Our room had bugs! When I told the front desk I was told management knows about it and has already addressed it! The floor in lobby has been ripped up, leaving broken tile all over. There were also piles of old fiberglass insulation on floors. I also expressed concern to workmen that they may be breathing in asbestos as no one had masks on nor did they know if there was any asbestos. I would never recommend staying here given the construction.

Charge half the rate!

THEIR WAS NOISE DUE TO THE CONSTRUCTION AND REMODELING OF THE TOP FLOORS. NOT MUCH SPACE IN THE PARKING AREA DUE TO ALL THE CRATES AND CONTAINERS TAKING PARKING SPACES AROUND THE HOTEL. OTHER THAN THAT A GOOD STAY.

It was disgusting it's full of German roaches and bed bugs do not stay here. They're in the process of doing construction in the main lobby, the Halls smelled of mildew the carpets filthy and disgusting looked like our room hadn't been cleaned. I tried to reach out to La Quinta and was told that it is a franchise was given the email address and then was ignored. Most of the outlets didn't work, the lights didn't work properly there was one working light in the entire room and that was the bathroom. The bathroom itself was filthy the shower was so disgusting I didn't even want to get in it. I just wish I would have taken pictures of this.

Roaches

Everything , from the roaches all over my room, to the staff whose demeanor changed when I asked for my money back after providing proof of roaches in room.

The carpet in my room was so dirty and had a poop smear by the mirror
Had trouble getting into my room, had to go get help several times

Roaches, wet dog smells, cigarette burns everywhere

Bugs in room
Carpets dirty
Smelly
Room door latches loose

The location the pool was out of service staff was rude

The room(s) were a little disappointing, the first 2 had a mildewed odor and the bath tubs were obviously rusting and have been painted over, the rust was bleeding through and the paint was deteriorating quickly, the crew doing renovations started a little early and stopped a little late for me (from the perspective of a hotel guest visiting for leisure), but the pool is closed and most of the card reader door locks take multiple swipes to work, and the one to the pool is missing, but I’m sure after the renovation this will all be addressed. But for now i think it’s a little over priced for the quality of the room and atmosphere.

Everything was OK. You could not get into the hotel from the back.
